Terribly run store that never has any food!
Once again I am walking round Waitrose and there is hardly any food!! What food there is (especially veg) is due to go off today, is already half rotten and reduce by 20p or less. Meal deals and offers have half the selections missing. Options are severely limited... Avoid! If you must shop Waitrose go to a different one!!!

A nice store with variety of products.
Prices seem to be a little premium though.

Loved some of the pies and yogurt that I bought here.

Self help kiosks and manner checkouts for easy shopping experience.

With 90 minutes of free parking right in the centre of Welwyn Garden this is the best Waitrose for miles around.

Huge choice, fresh, frozen, bakery ... counters galore to satisfy every need.

I failed to find the Croustades I needed but the first Waitrose lady used her locator to find the exact row, shelf and position within seconds.

Brilliant staff!

I then easily found the Crostini so all my necessities for a small garden party all in one store. Extremely convenient.

Some serious price drops too. Tempted by the Pomery Rosé... down £9.00. Maybe next time ...

My favourite food store has just been awarded its first black mark in my book for selling beautiful sticky cakes in unhygienic conditions!
While deciding what cake to chose from the self serve, non refrigerated open cabinet I was shocked to see flies walking all over the cakes & therefore presumably laying their eggs!
When I remonstrated with a member of staff I was brushed away. I then complained to a manager who was sympathetic but thought it was OK as they had an ultra-violet insect killers throughout the store.(It didn't stop the 3/4 flies I saw on the cakes in 2 or 3 mins, so how many over 6 or 8 hours?)
Come on Waitrose, I don't know of any other shops that put sweet sticky cakes in an open non chilled cabinet that allow flies to walk all over the produce, this is 2022 NOT 1922! Surely health & safety first? I will remove this when you remove that ridiculous & dangerous self serve counter in the WGC Store. Jon Spencer.

Did a good stock up with my vouchers. But to quote that old song. 'Alas we have no bananas, we have no bananas today. ' (And none yesterday. )

All fine but the parking was difficult, very busy but it has been snowing and is the last Saturday before Christmas so I shouldn't complain too much. Access to the upper parking was closed even though the snow had been cleared which would have made this easier

Another great visit to this store. Came to pick up a click collect and some sushi. Outstanding service on both. Even though it was a busy lunch time the staff took the time to help me get my small appliance to the car. Sushi was delicious and easy to get through self check out.

I like shopping here because there's a big car park with 1 floor free as long as you shop in waitrose
And I get money off vouchers via my phone to use in store and have a free coffee or tea at the end of my shop.
