Love this supermarket, even if it is a bit pricier than others, it's worth the visit for a mooch, buy products a little different from others, higher end quality products, and even stylish own brand packaging.... yes I love the washing up liquid bottle, and it's fragrance! Nice atmosphere, and wide aisles so doesn't feel crowded. Cafe lovely too, albeit slow.

Shop here every week and it's a clean store with friendly staff and decent range/stock levels. Parking is easy if you use the spaces near VUE rather than the chaotic McD side. The prices on some things are a bit more expensive than the larger supermarkets but nothing like people seem to imagine and they do carry plenty of offers. Alcohol section really good as well, particularly the wines & spirits. Only been in the café a few times and it was fine and seems popular.
There are a number of things that set them apart from the usual supermarkets imo. The 'scan & go' works really well, the loyalty card is genuinely beneficial and their welfare standards/fair pay to suppliers are taken more seriously. They also stock things that other supermarkets don't though this tends to be where the higher prices emerge as it's typically the more 'fancy' alternatives such as quails eggs etc. We don't buy stuff like that though.
In summary I think I'd say it just feels a pleasant place to shop rather than a bit of a hassle and my only negative would be that it could do with being a larger store.

Happy with my shop at Waitrose only place I can get low carb bread. Also I find their lamb is as good if not better than anywhere else. Finally the Craster kippers are to die for, I love them!

Appalling service in the cafeteria. I accept its lunchtime but 3 children behind the counter and effectively being front of house is a terrible. A wait for 10mins in the queue with 2 people in front of me and then another 22mins for a toasties to be delivered to my table. Not acceptable. Children are not quick at being able to do simple tasks quickly as well as 2 of them more being more concerned with how they look rather than how they work.

Excellent customer service. I have osteoarthritis and possess a mobility scooter, but had not taken the latter to the store, relying instead of my trolley as a walking aid. Halfway through my shop, my back and neck started aching and I needed to sit down. I asked Customer Services for a chair and the partners immediately obliged, offering me a drink as well as the requested chair. After a ten minute rest I was able to complete my shop. Thank y you to all involved.

A calm, impressive store, as expected for Waitrose and Partners. Prices high but there are some bargains to be found. Recently reintroduced their free coffees for Waitrose card holders (apply free online). What I miss is the free newspaper offer and haven’t noticed prices coming down enough to make up for this loss of benefit.

Terrible visit on Fri 16th Dec 22.
We did the self scan then at check out had to have it all redone by staff that didn’t really know what they were doing .we had one 6 pack of crisp that wasn’t scanned in a multipack.made to feel like we had been stealing. Also avoid any Waitrose essential because they might be a little cheaper but very poor.Iv also read that other people have had the same problem meaning full rescan of items .Definitely waste of time and won’t be back .
