Tesco Express

I rarely shop at supermarkets but went here today to buy a few things and once I came home, I realised I'd forgotten to put the birthday card I bought, in the bag! Tried calling the store on the number listed on here but after 2 rings it keeps getting cut off! They really need to check that. Anyway... I went back to the store, and was pleased that Anita, the customer service assistant had kept the card at the till! Sohail, the manager explained that they leave the missed item with the receipt (I never collect mine!) at the till. I'm very impressed. Good customer service. Rather rare these days.

Poorly stocked tesco like hundred others however this one on top of that is sieged by the homeless greeting and thanking customers on the way in and out which clearly adds charm to the place and is tolerated by the shop. Personally I am going to shop elsewhere and leave this shop to the homeless to conduct their business there.

rude staff. they talk/answer with attitude. both the young and older staff.
each time ive entered this store the staff always stare at me until i finish. i'll always catch one of them staring at me in a rude way (these people dont even know how to smile) whenever im looking through stuff. i cant even shop in peace so i feel very uncomfortable and like im being judged whenever i shop here (i try to avoid it, but sometimes in urgent situations i have unfortunately came here). they would tilt their heads just to look at me even when im in the middle of an aisle they always find a way to just watch me or peak through small areas between food items which is really fking weird.
i really felt like i'm being judged it's not a nice feeling, the last (and final time) i came here i had my items in my hands and i swear their eyes never left me even when i would stare back (in an attempt to get them to stop looking but still they would not stop!!), so i just put all my stuff back and left the shop. as i was leaving they still looked back at me.
it's the security guys but mostly those who are situated in the checkout area. the whole situation did upset me but ive gotten over it, i will never come here again.

This place has left me furious the shop closes at 12 as listed on Google I came into the store at around 23:05 and the cashier looked down the alcohol aisle and then came up to me and said no alcohol sale after 23:00. I went down to the slightly bigger Tesco down the road and successfully bought my alcohol. This place is shocking. I would never shop here again. I wish that employee the worst of luck in his future at Tesco.

I went to tesco in 45 Whitechapel Road and the manager was very rude to serve me and saying I don't have time now come after 3pm to take water as I have been shopping since 2001 in that store the new Manger is very unprofessional

Staff waltz in at 06:55 and leave you standing outside until 10 past 7. Speaking to a local this happens everyday apparently.

Nice store. Has good essential items. Some items maybe priced a tiny bit higher than other places like poundland.

I went to Tesco Express in Whitechapel and had the most amazing service, very kind and helpful. The young lady in particular was Kashida . She was polite and very friendly....Really want her to be recognized for the good service she have provided. Well Done...
