Marks and Spencer

Shopping here with my wife being partly disabled disappointed to find very few if any seats for taking weight off feet, we all know how long ladies can shop. Nice coffee etc in cafe. Only place I found to sit down.

Large shop with a 2nd floor that is mostly clothing and a cafe. Ground floor entrance is clothing for about the first 2 third of the shop, behind this is the food area. It's a shame that the food area isn't larger as it is cramped and restricted in selection and no-one wants limited choices when it involves Marks and Spencers food.

i visited Taunton M&S foodhall today and have to say that Neil, the cashout person was so helpful and polite I felt I had to let you know.
it was very busy but he was calm, cheerful and very pleasant.

Baby changing facilities are a joke. The disabled toilet is always locked, so have to use the charging board In the women's, which is right in front of a toilet cubicle, meaning you have to wait until that toilet is empty until you can pull the board down, even then people barge past you to use the toilet then you have to take your baby off the changing board so the person can close the toilet door. Who ever designed it needs to be sacked and people need to learn some manners and be patient when someone needs to change their baby!

Visited the store yesterday 13/11. While we were in the food hall at 11am and looked to pay our respects and observe the 2 minutes silence. There was no actual announcement only a member of staff frantically running around telling people that the 2 minutes silence had begun. Most people stopped and observed the silence, some people just carried on shopping and chatting oblivious as to what was going on all to the amusement to the two members if staff standing near us who seem to think that was somehow funny.
Very disappointing and disrespectful and I would have thought and expected better of M&S and it's staff

Online order return declined by staff who reported:-

1. It smelt of after-shave and was 'covered' in it. I accept that it is possible to have some fragrance but it was not all over it as claimed. I wore it for 5 minutes and got ready to leave to work. Partner said it doesn't fit so I took it off and decided to return it. I had worn a fragrance (which one applies to skin) not a suit jacket.

Understandably the return was declined. I have no issue with that. But the exaggeration was unnecessary.

However for good measure the staff member (male) added that:-

2. The garment looks like it's been worn. This is completely false other than the basic act of putting it on for 5 minutes initially. One needs to do that to see if a garment ordered online fits There was no sign of being worn for any prolonged period. It was taken off and placed in its packing within minutes. It was clean and essentially unworn. This extra assertion was not required.

The staff called me and demanded to know the exact time when I will be picking up the item in a rather abrupt manner. And no we were never in first name terms.

I have to say that the coffee was wonderful (Columbian blend) and so was the lady that served us.
At least M&S still allows its customers to have full fat milk. Some other companies like Pret and now Sainsbury's do not. I am avoiding those places now.

Visited M&S restaurant today. Looks like its clear your own table?Multiple tables left uncleared.We cleared and wiped our own table with handwipe.The handwipe was filthy afterwards.
Only member of staff clearing very slowly and not wiping tables.
Also she keeps wandering off?
