Sainsbury's

Well, on this occasion my experience was a bit rubbish. I had popped into Sainsbury's to buy some flowers for my mother in law, who had just lost her husband, I had left my purse and my phone in the car with my partner, so only had a couple of ten pound notes in my pocket, which I had pulled out of the cash machine earlier that day. I choose the flowers and went to a till to pay, when I was told that the £10 was fake, to me it looked completely fine if a little crumpulled. A supervisor was called and she confirmed that the note was indeed a fake, but how could it be I just withdrew it from the machine outside. She asked if I had another form of payment, which I did not, I'd left my purse in the car. I offered another one of the notes from the same withdrawal as I made earlier, but I guess the staff weren't keen! The supervisor said come with me, we'll be able to tell if it's fake by putting the transaction through the self service tills, as they have the technology to see the security features of a banknote....low and behold it went through just fine!!
It was such a palava, embarrassing, and at a time when I didn't need anymore stress, I got it. Normally I have a very nice shopping experience at Sainsbury's, on this occasion, rubbish.

This store is unfortunately my local sainsburys. Only talk to the younger staff if you need help . The older ones are all miserable wretches who clearly loathe life and will be as physically unhelpful as possible . They’re also awful at replen and won’t bother to restock certain aisles for days at a time . Avoid lady with short brown hair and glasses on customer services she’s bitter rude and awful

This place just gets worse. There are HUGE puddles by the zebra crossing, but Sainsbury's customer service assured me the car park is not their problem. The cafe is defunct, but still tantalisingly offering itself...a cup of coffee is still needed by disabled people after doing a week's shop.

Its getting worse, time to go elsewhere.
Stock is minimal, checkout staff less than minimal, customer service non existent. On many occasions , no trollies or baskets available at the front door. Rubbish in the isles also.
It appears that the so called, floating customer service staff just want to chat about their weekends, rather than actually help clear the huge backlog of people, at the only 3 open checkouts. Not really sure what the Orange faced lady does, other than float around and dodge responsibility.
I have left one star as Argos is useful !

I had my first home delivery yesterday. I used my £18 off £60 Shop (excl alchohol) I was able to buy a few extras for Christmas and my order was complete. The delivery driver Mike from the Witney branch was on time and so friendly and efficient. He seemed very happy in his job and explained a few things as it was my first order for example how refunds are made etc. Thumbs up to Sainsburys for making the process so easy and a big thankyou to Mike for doing such an excellent job 👍

The parking is great,,some of the shelves were a bit empty. But otherwise,,,as a shopping trip ,,ok😁

Car park flooded from disabled bays to store. Shop is badly stocked and they only have 1 or 2 till open with long lines. The self scan never works properly with packing area only good enough for 1 bag. Only the younger staff care. I really really hate going here but my son needs gluten free products and they have a few things Waitrose does not. Avoid, goto Waitrose so much nicer staff who care and price wise it's so similar.

Always end up getting more than I need 😂 just goes to show they are good at their job. Decently helpful staff. It gets crowded and overwhelming easily so we try to go early in the mornings only.
