I like to put my shopping through the checkout and pack the other side. You don't get many checkouts open for the amount of customers going through. Unless you want to take a trolley full through self serve. Could do with more staff on normal tills. 14 checkouts when I went and only 1 open .

Since the Asda corporation was taken over, the local branch of Asda, (Cwmbran), has gone downhill SO much. Some Asda brands now have yellow packaging...these are the same products that used to be in the ''Smart Price'' range...which you could buy as many as you like...but with the new yellow...limited to 3! The checkouts' are a nightmare...hardly any ''manned''checkouts any more, because ''they'' want customers to use the self scanners'....fine if you don't have an ''age restricted'' item. If you have alcohol/sharps', you need an assistant to clear it, half the time no-one's available! It used to be a pleasure to shop here... but not any more!

Been shopping today and what the worst shopping experience ever no trolleys in site at all not even were you put your trolleys when finished to do shopping and the escalators did not work so was queuing for very long time at the lift to get to the car park. Had to wait to get hold of a trolley that someone was using but took half hour to get one after looking everywere. lack of products on the shelf was really bad like the photo all around the shop. Plus I would say the shop is getting dirty. If I could give no stars I would. Ive always shopped at asda many years but if carrys on like this will have to shop somewhere else. Only bonus to asda is the asda app were you can save money.

Biggest mistake Asda made was following Primark by putting their ladies jeans in shelves. None of the sizes are in the right place and very time consuming trying to find the fit I require. At least Primark have someone putting them back in the correct sizes. Bring back jeans on hangers

Good products and so are the customer service.

With plenty of parking as well as busses in the centre, it makes it easy to shop till one drops at Asda that is located on a corner ground floor.

The store has clothing, homeware, music, bakery, fresh produce, dairy, freezer, alcohol, confectionery, phones, tellies, stationery, garden equipment etc.

Pretty awful experience today when shopping at Asda Cwmbran. First there were no trolleys to pick up anywhere at the front of the store. Then a chap appeared coming up the travelator with just a few small trolleys, but of no use to us as we required a large one. We then had to pick up a small trolley to start our shop, but soon realised that would be insufficient. I then had to leave my wife and go in search of a larger trolley down stairs in the car park. Managed to find one,but the had to go back in store to meet my wife, transfer the goods from the small trolley to the large one, and then take the small trolley back outside to obtain my £1. Sadly at that time there were no trolleys at all again, and people waiting for trolleys so that they could do their shopping. Luckily a lady gave me a £1 for ours. Then back to my wife in store and continue our shopping. Aaaargghh. It went alright after that but yet again some shelves were suffering from lack of stock, so we went the the scan desk to pay for our goods, only to have to wait for a staff member to stop talking in order to authorise a alcohol purchase. Then the security alarm went off, because a tag was on a piece of children's clothing. Yet again waiting for a staff member to finish what she was doing to sort out the tag. Then left the store only to find once again that the trvaelator to go down was not working, appears hard to fix as this is ongoing. Went back to the car, got home and opened the wine. Awful experience today, and probably the last time we will use Asda Cwmbran. Newport store far better organised. As for Cwmbran, possibly the existing staff are struggling to cope and therefore managers should either take people on or actually work on the shop floor to help out.

Rarely have everything I need in stock and on several occasions have tried to buy video games, only to be told at till not in stock despite plenty of cases on the shelf. I won't bother trying anymore.

ASDA just failed to deliver weekly groceries to a vulnerable chemotherapy patient. The driver phoned into the depot to say they couldn't find the address, despite us regularly receiving ASDA deliveries.

The driver couldn't be bothered to phone or text us on any of the registered phone numbers, or by email. They simply didn't turn up. We had to phone the store this afternoon to see what had happened to the order. ASDA cancelled it, without any notification. To add insult to injury, we have to wait 48 hours before we have our money returned to us.

I suspect we were the last delivery before the driver was finished on a Sunday, and they just couldn't be bothered. Otherwise they would have contacted us if they genuinely couldn't find the address.

It was only last year that one of these MENSA candidates drove into our gates and wrecked them. So you have drivers who can't drive, and also drivers who can't find a house which any number of uninitiated couriers, tradesmen and other visitors find on a daily basis.

Judging by the rating ASDA has on Trustpilot I guess I shouldn't be surprised that you employ such people to drive for you. You seem complacent wallowing in the stench of your own reputation.
