It's pretty good for a smaller branch. It's got a good range of products, with fairly standard prices. Large car park with spaces for disabled users and those with children.

Sadly this store has deteriorated lately. Tesco have closed the Deli and Meat counters at the rear of the store so its pre packed only now the range of meat is not what it was. Staff have been trimmed back and as a result service has suffered. On my last 2 visits there has been no baskets available to shop.
I am considering taking my custom elsewhere.

I just wanted to say how fantastic my local Maesteg Tesco is. We are so fortunate to have such a well managed, clean and friendly store nearby.
I have heard such awful stories of empty shelves and bad behaviour during this difficult time. I have visited several times since this virus started and I've seen very hard working staff refilling shelves as quick as possible and I've managed to get nearly everything I've needed and I haven't been tempted to buy extra.
Well done to you all, Maesteg Tesco is the best. x

Staff very helpful, it's Tesco that's the problem. This is a Tesco Superstore, we are unable to order on-line what they have run out of in the store. As this store does not have Click & collect (they want me to travel 8 miles to Bridgend and collect my goods, and then pay £1.50 for the privilege of doing so). Of course I could agree to pay £4.50 and have it delivered at some time in the future, think I'll try Aldi.

I visited Tuesday 4th May at 6am. There were at least four members of staff including a manager not wearing a mask or face covering. Poor standards. I left and waited for ASDA to open

The bread and bakery department is the best around, staff are cheerful and helpful. Unfortunately their produce has gone downhill lately. Meat counter and fish has gone, not that it was the best anyway. Bought a steak the other day, 28 day matured? So it said, tough, sinuous and little taste. I've shopped at Tescos around the UK and this is the worst. Would love someone from Tescos to tell me why? Are you sending 'also rans' to people who you think don't care , well we do! I'd like an answer, please?
