Sushi Gourmet (in Sainsburys)

Average assembly line sushi which is par for the course for these items in grocery stores. Absence of the fake wasabi in the sealed boxes illustrates the challenges (dammed if you do, dammed if you don't) for grocery store sushi.

I wouldn't go out of my way for sushi here but then I wouldn't decline a bite or two (except the farm raised salmon).

It's not worth the price... looks good in picture, but it's far away in taste... And I had loads of sushi in many places...

We have had Sushi from the Sainsbury's Sushi bar many times but this time was extremely disappointing. The portion sizes seem to have shrunk
and, I could be wrong, but chopped up seafood stick and mushed up tinned tuna don't really seem like Sushi ingredients to me.
There was absolutely no taste to the salmon and the crispy fried onion was anything but!
So, with the shrinking size and the cheap ingredients I wouldn't expect to pay £9.65. Also, there was no soy sauce, perhaps you have to pay extra for that?
Won't be buying again.

Unlike other reviewers I've had no problems with sushi from Sushi Gourmet. The price is cheaper than in restaurants, good quality and good amount. I usually get them delivered on Deliveroo and I've gone in-store to buy them as well. Apart from not having hot meals delivered, I think the service and food has been quite good and would recommend them.

Some shocking reviews here but based on my experience, reviewing just the sushi, it's always been great. Could have some more variety but for the rest no complaints. Typically a good portion of fish in each sushi

What a rip off!!!! Told the manager the pot seems half full compare to previous time. Didn't say nothing. Price went up by 10p this week. Go home pull the scale out. Result: 350g approx I got 250g!!!!!
