Oxfam Bookshop Highgate

Somehow if I am looking for a book and pop-in to check if they've got it, I find it most of the times. Nice staff, good to spend some times browsing.

Staff very friendly, particularly in the bookshop. We treat is as our local library where we drop books and come back with different ones. Great for the kids and we don't mind paying a little extra over a library card as it goes to charity anyway. I also find their collection rather good. If you are after a specific book, you are probably better served by amazon & co but if you live in the area and just want to drop in, you will always find plenty of books worth reading and in very good condition.

Always find some interesting books.

The manager and at least one volunteer I met in Oxfam bookshop Highgate are rude, ignorant and mediocre, also Oxfam Bookshop Hampstead - as a possible volunteer at Highgate and regular bookshop visitor at Hampstead I was treated with disrespect, rudeness and discrimination. Book and media selection good but staff terrible.

Despite spending time looking through books and making two purchases, the server yesterday did not feel it worthwhile to speak to me. I did not feel welcome and staff showed a preference over which customers they wanted to deal with. Sadly my experience ended most rudely with the cashier ignoring my thanks and then shouting "THANK YOU" rather snarkily as I was leaving the shop.
