Powder white should wear a mask with black and white stripey jumper
Do not use Powder white. They cancelled our ski holiday and have offered nothing by way of refund. We were simply issued our invoice and told to follow with the insurance.

To then further rub salt in the wounds, powder white offered a 10% discount on the cost of a holiday next year, when in reality the price of a chalet has increased on this years price by almost 15%. Complete Joke.

In addition to the above, we had just arrived at the resort and stayed 1 night at the accommodation before finding out that the resort must close. Powder white offered zero communications and even cancelled our transfers, telling us there vehicles must remain on the resort for emergencies. We were left to arrange our own with zero help. If this was not an emergency i would be interested to know what is?

Would advise that anyone who has not received a refund and booked the ski holiday as a package reads the package travel regulations 2018 and follows this up with a county court order. Powder white as per the regulations are obliged to refund you the full amount as the holiday has not been fulfilled.

Be warned!

Not the chalet service you will expect!

Regrettably a group of 16 of us decided to book with Powder White.
After paying in full >£12,000 and further +€700 for transfers, we have received nothing for our holiday instead being told the current climate has meant that our trip can not go ahead.

Despite COVID, most firms are offering for funds to be forwarded to trips next year - but Powder White have given nothing of the sort! Instead they have left us out of pocket, not offering even a proportion of funds in return.

Please be sensible and avoid using companies who don’t have your holidays interests at heart.
This just shows how little the company cares about its customers and their experience!

Do yourselves a favour and choose a reputable company.

Avoid at all costs! Despite now offering a 100% corona refund for new bookings, they refused to refund us a single penny for our trip in March 2020 which was cancelled due to C19, or to make any other reasonable engagement (partial refund, voucher, ...). Powder White has not even been reasonable enough to refund us costs not incurred (tourist tax paid up front, costs for all inclusive food and wine for 15 people, ...). We feel unfortunate to have dealt with such a callous and unreasonable company, and hope to warn any others to avoid similar future experiences.

Poor service, value and attitude!!! Our Chalet booked via Powder White was cancelled during Covid-19 and no refund or change of date offered. The company took £9339.00 for catered chalet off us and only offered to give us £184 resort tax back and pocketed all the rest. Never ever book with them if you can avoid it! Very poor customer service and no value!!!

Powder white took the entirety of our £10k+ holiday without any refund or remorse, despite cancelling our holiday. Awful provider and would never recommend them. No remorse and stopped responding.

Despite taking advantage of tax payers money and furloughing their staff to reduce costs, they are happy to take all of the money received from customers without having to provide any service. Opportunism and greed come to mind. Awful company, and judging by the most recent comments of people who did go on a holiday provided by them, customer experience is awful even if they do provide a service.

I would strongly advise against anybody using Powder White. They have flat out refused any goodwill gestures in light of their cancellation of our holiday in Val d'Isere. We were a group of 16 that paid them >GBP 12k in advance as well as EUR 790 for taxi transfers. They have not offered to refund a penny of any of these expenses.

I see them copy/pasting the same cookie cutter responses that they gave us to others who they have treated similarly. Things like "it's regrettable" that we haven't taken out insurance. In reality several of us had insurance and none of these companies are paying out for COVID-related virus cancellations, so I can only assume they are lying or using one off exceptions when telling us "Those who have taken out insurance are already being reimbursed for their loss and are very understanding of our situation."

Also, not sure I understand their comment that they can't issue any refunds as they'd be taking a "double hit" as our holiday has already been paid for. What does this even mean? We paid for our trip in full and received nothing in return. With this approach they are in a better situation than they were previously as they no longer need to purchase any food or drinks or have staff working the chalets for our stay. I also presume that they aren't still going to be arranging for a EUR 790 transfer to and from Geneva airport that they won't refund us for. The fact that they haven't offered even partial refunds or credits for future trips is a terrible way to treat customers.

Very shortsighted for Powder White to think that screwing its customers now will put them in a better position to survive through this crisis. And yet they are actively advertising for 2021 holiday bookings when claiming to us that they may struggle to survive as a business. As such I can only assume that they would be happy to screw those currently booking for 2021 as well. (And I'm sure if they do survive they will reach out to us to offer us a refund for 2020... I won't hold my breath).

We have had the worst experience with PW during the coronavirus pandemic. After cancelling our holiday they have refused to return any of the £15,000 we paid for a chalet in St Anton; not even the tourist tax that was paid upfront (we never even left the UK!) I know that the company is also putting up fake 5* reviews on UK Trust Pilot so watch out for that. Avoid at all costs.

A group of us went with Powder White to St Anton, just as COVID hit in 2020. Powder White's management of its paying clients was appalling. St Anton shut down, we went home early and PW's staff just vanished into thin air, with no attempt to coordinate or check. We were abandoned to our own devices to book flights, get to the airport. Not a word from them then or when we got home (all with COVID). If the measure of a company is how they act when things get tough...don't go anywhere near them
