The London Underground tracks pass directly beneath this spot, which was used as a vent for the old steam-powered trains. This meant that the original buildings had to be demolished; in their place are these facades, which have been designed to match the surrounding houses. Very interesting.

A place of pilgrimage for all tube geeks. Shame about the bins parked in front though.

Neat bit of London history. When, what is now the circle mine, was being dug, residents didn't want an ugly gap between the buildings with a hole, so a false facade was built to hide the tracks. At first glance, it looks real.

There is so much history in London. This is one of those times when if you didn't know it was there you would never know it even existed. Well worth a look and research the reason why it may interest you especially if you like the history of London underground.

I remember someone mentioning two fake houses around this area...

I was in intrigued, had to take a look for myself, i found the spot, it wasn't hard to find but kind of funny but understood why it was.

Getting here isn't to hard, nearest stations were Bayswater which uses Circle, District line and Queensway which uses Central line for London Underground. Although there are other stations that you can get here but are further away.

All in all, pretty funny but still cool enough for a visit.
