Top notch! Particularly recommend an early morning sunrise walk and best tip is to go up the hill that doesn't have a path (if you're looking at the hills from the A40 side, the one furthest to the left) as it offers the best views over London. It also featured on an episode of The Taskmaster! Just be warned; from past experience, on a frosty morning it's pretty treacherous going back down the hill again.
Also good for spotting planes taking off from Heathrow, or if you have some binoculars, those landing there, if they are going in that direction.
Children's play area at the bottom is adventurous too!

Interesting place to spend the day with the kids. Cool little man made little hills, free parking, cafe, playgrounds (one for the little one and the other for 6 years old or older), fishing, plenty of green spaces and picnic.

I love going to the parts of London that offer a view of London as a big picture. Compared to the daily flat view. Row after row of terraced houses. The macro view.

This is my local hill with a view.

Cheap parking.

Nice park land with very well maintained fishing ponds.

Free entry

Parking £0.90/ hour

On a clear day sunny or not, from the top of the mounds the view of the centre of London is worth admiring. With a zoom camera from any of the view points on the mounds ,some nice pictures can be had of the London skyline. The mounds were built from the excavated soil from the tunnels built by Cross-Rail under London ready for the Elizabeth Line when it finally opens in the spring/summer of 2022. Northala- Fields park is an ideal day out for everybody especially families. There is plenty to do and see once you are there.
