Remarkable grotto and the highlight of the park. Nice location on a little island tucked beneath some rocks. As you enter you experience the delights of the tiny man made crystals. Theirs also rock features with views to the lake and river. The grotto shuts at 430ish and often their is a guide inside if you want more information.

We had chance to visit this park crystal grotto . Big park it took 3 hours to walk around not to rush but not to slow to .
Cristal grotto mane reason to come here is cristal . But that is not natural formed is human made but still impressive master peace. I will add pictures and youbcan see it . Price 10£ bit to expensive for walk to park . But free parking wich brings price little bit reasonable. Recommend or No? I would recommend is someone what do picnics or weddings definitely worth it . Come have picnic lay down for sunwave out with kids .

Expensive £19 for myself and the wife for a park walk. Our local Ferry Meadows park would have cost £2.60p for the day.
It was ok for a walk but not much to see for the price and wouldn’t go back.
Ok if your local and get membership, sign on entry for pre book only.

Painshill park is beautiful, secluded from the noisiness you hear in cities and so while visiting you hear nothing but the birds tweeting (not the twitter version) and the wind rustling through the leaves.

The crystal grotto, though man made is spectacularly beautiful and in the right light the shine from the crystals is mesmerising.

Kids loved it here. Kind of ruined by 'Do not touch' signs. I get it but still. Ended up playing spot the CCTV game. It was nice though.

Sparkly crystal caves - our littleuns loved it. Its basically a pretty impressive cave structure, pimped up to the max with glued on white rocks, and nicely placed lighting. Lots of well considered views out to the lake too - takes about 5 mins to experience

This is Painshill. The Crystal Grotto is just one of the follies built in the I8th Cent. on a park with wonderful views. Great ace for a walk. Picture shows the 'Turkish Tent' and views from the gothic folly.

Wow, this place is amazing, I've been to a lot of caves but this is something else. It's a 2 ½ mile walk round but plenty to see. 2 toilet stops, cafe and shop.
