We stayed in a renovated 1940s railway carriage overlooking Northiam Station and beautiful countryside. Fantastic accommodation and great to see steam trains coming into the station. A unique experience, highly recommended.

Enjoyable time aboard the steam train to Bodiam. We boarded the train at Tenterden and had a lovely trip down to Bodiam enjoying the scenery along the way. Not an overly long trip but very nice. We were greeted with a group of local dancers which was lovely to watch - definitely a bonus. Lovely to see the steam trains and ride on them. Once at Bodiam we walked on the footpath towards Bodiam Castle and had a lovely walk around the outskirts of the Castle. We enjoyed lunch at the Castle Inn which was lovely.

Travel in style on this beautifully preserved heritage scenic railway. The volunteers are friendly, informative and helpful. With lots of wildlife to spot along the way. Do pop into the Old Dairy Micro pub & brewery adjacent to Tenterton Town station for unique refreshments as well as the railway museum.

A good railway runs on tea.
This is no exception.
They open again and run trains for half term.
Please see their website for information
So quick pictures before the public arrive

The Wealden Pullmans dining was bought as a present for two people and we had such a lovely time on the train for a Sunday lunch.
We got to Northiam station about 45mins till the train arrived so we had plenty of time and got a drink at the station watching other steam trains go by.
We were shown to our carriage and seat and before we got on we had a aperitif.
The carriage we really nice and comfortable in the arm chair seats!
The food was really good with the slow pace of the train looking at the countryside.
Everyone was so enthusiastic and friendly which really made the experience.
This was such a good experience and would love to come back again.
