Craig Goch Dam

The sound of the water is so therapeutic. There’s a long bridge across the dam that you can walk across which is amazing because you get a great view of the lake!

A dramatic 37m high stone dam at the head of the Elan valley. Well worth the single file drive across to the quite lakeside on the other side.

Part of the stunning Elan Valley route.....this is a great place to visit, good weather is a must though. This dam is one of four or five on the route, and all are spectacular.

The whole area is worth visiting at any time but there is very low water levels at the minute due to dry weather and it being drained for some kind of works to take place. Worth visiting as it will be a long time until its this low again!

Wonderful views, amazing architectural accomplishment. Will visit again (hopfully in a year where we have more rainfall, so we can see it in action) 😊

Astounding!! Scary!! You really have to see it to believe it. The power of the water is incredible. And don't forget to visit all the other dams, too. Lady in the Visitor Centre was very hoful and informative

Winter days with some rain made this place more prettier. The roads to this dam were just speechless .
