Phoned Crawley Station to get wheelchair assistance for my daughter, as no ones on Platform 2. The lady on the other end asked can I describe any landmarks or explain exactly where I am.... 😕 Really there's only 2 platforms and I was only one standing there with a wheelchair. Could see the ticket office all she had to to was send a staff member over to put the ramp down.

Small station, quite dated and drap. Staff were helpful and friendly. Tickets office was closed at 2pm Thursday but there are a few machines. Outside is the taxi rank and opposite is the shopping mall

The sitting room from platform 2 doesn't have windows and in case you have a buggy, you need to use the stairs to reach out to the platform.

Poor service, station staff are rude. Be warned, there is no contactless ticket service at the station (like Gatwick). They also have ZERO common sense in letting you pay for the ticket or difference to exit the station (like any normal first world country), so all honest and mistaken passengers will face the unreasonable penalties!

This is a really great town. My favourite West Sussex town for shopping. Several good pubs, Brewery Shades being my favourite, with its great range of drinks and excellent food. Great shopping mall, called County Mall. Lots of big chains and independent shops with helpful staff. Very close to the railway station, so not far at all to get to the shops. Good range of cafes too.

I was at this train station on Wednesday (10/11/21) and it was my first experience on a train in England. I had purchased an eticket on line. There were plenty of parking outside of the train station however I was dropped off by my partner. Once entering the station I headed to the counter, the woman was really nice and she explained how to use the eticket. The also information me with platform to take. Crawley only has two platforms which is really easily and you really wouldn't get confused. There's a public restroom which is really convenient. I was heading to East Croydon and when I came back from East Croydon I didn't know you had to use your return ticket to open the gates to get out. There were plenty of staff around at that time it was about 3pm and lots of people around. Everything at that train station is pretty straightforward.
