An excellent addition to transport to and from Maghull. More parking available but still difficult at times to find spaces. Luckily for us it’s in walking distance. Interesting information available, about the Hospital that was on that site before the new estate and station. E.g. the statue “Compassion in Conflict” which is well worth a visit.

An excellent addition to the Merseyrail network with functional, rather than particularly stylish ticket office and lifts as well as stairs down to both platforms. However, the absence of fully enclosed waiting shelters does seem an oversight, and whilst there's a free car park for rail users, it may be difficult to find a space on weekdays as it isn't really big enough to cope with the numbers of commuters using the station. A very reasonable effort, but not quite worthy of five stars.

156 spaces and I still couldn’t park. Not very helpful for park and ride if there isn’t enough space to park!

I used the station on Sunday to park on a trip into Liverpool; it may be busy during the week, but there were loads of parking spaces.
I would recommend arriving early enough to give you time to look at the statue in the corner of the car park, and read about the history of the site, and the display boards on the platform with photos from the past (and which explain the link to Rex Harrison)
