Orrell Park is a busy little station on the Merseyrail Northern Line with trains to and from Liverpool Central and Ormskirk stations. As well as ramps there are now lifts available which adds to the accessibility of this station. Staff are on site in the ticket/information office. A toilet with facilities for wheelchair users is available near the entrance.

Very nicely refurbished station in pleasant surroundings. Lifts and stepped ramps down to platforms from modern ticket office. Large waiting shelters on both platforms with an additional fully enclosed shelter on the southbound platform. Plenty of greenery and even some well-kept flowerbeds. No car park unfortunately, though there is space in nearby streets (at a premium during the working week).

I think the station manager's nDave. Twice I've started my rail journey from Orrel Park. The first time was with my close friend Ann. We were travelling on our mobility scooters, first time on my scooter ( FLORRIE III ), Whereas You Ann is a seasoned scooter traveller. On this and my next journey, on my own. He wasn't JUST helpful, he explained how he would notify each of the merseyrail stations. This so they were ready with ramps so as not to delay fellow passenger

Bit pointless. Don't think I've ever seen anyone get off or on there.
