Waterloo East

Just a few minutes walk from the Waterloo Mainline station there are frequent services to South London. And as will the vast majority of London Stations this one is clean and feels safe.

There is only one set of toilets available on platforms B,C. It took me 20 minutes to get from the main concourse at Waterloo East to the toilet on platform B,C and then back to platform A by which time we'd missed our train. Not even a chance to enjoy a refreshing beverage or tasty snack from Starbucks as it was closed

PS the gap tween the platform and the carriage was atrocious my wife almost fell down the gap

This is a terrible appalling station with staff that are completely useless. It is impossible to find because the entrance to the station is in a different part of London to the platforms. You also get to pay for the privilege of accessing the place.

Don’t get this muddled with Waterloo. They are connected but go in different directions.

Long long stairs from street level or walk via the air tunnel from Waterloo main station.

From the far end of the platforms you can go direct to Southwark Tube. Either to get the underground or to walk all the way to the exit.

One of the main train hubs in the UK. Service mostly the South side of the river Thames. It has connections to London Underground if you need to go to the North side.
Quite a few cafe options on offer.

The lifts were out of service and we had the use the escalators which wasn't very convenient and safe when you have a baby in the pram

Large train station best for routes going south and south west

I wanted to say thanks publicly to the very kind platform operator ?? who took the time to ask if I wanted the train in the station before it left as I was using my phone and not looking up. It was not my train but her kindness was much appreciated - thank you
