Medical and Aesthetics Training Academy Botox and Dermal Filler Courses

*** Interesting how the director of the company is quick to get back to me when he wants me to remove his name from my Google review and also may I add he has asked me to remove the negative review without even having delivered what I’ve paid for. ***

I signed up to the MATA diploma course last December along with a couple of masterclasses. The company were extremely quick to take my money - over $12,000 in total and what can I say except it’s been the most disappointing experience so far. I was promised that my diploma would be completed in September (9 months post signing up and paying). I am now 10months on and the company have only arranged for me to do 2 out of the 8 promised days so far. I have been ignored and not responded to on multiple occasions not only by the staff but also by the director of the company himself (I have been asked to remove his name!) I have been promised that they will get back to me - they never do. I am forever chasing the company and they are not fulfilling the promises they have made to me. May I please ask you all do your homework and research. DO NOT go with this company as it seems they are not delivering what they have promised to deliver. I am very disappointed - all I want is for the company to stop making promises and actually start delivering and taking some action. I will keep you all updated along my journey but please don’t make the same mistake I did, and seek other more reputable companies to get your certification with.

Had 2 courses booked that MATA cancelled. I had made an expensive trip from overseas especially for it.
We are now 3 months on and after 10+ phone calls a few emails still not had any response or word of being refunded.
Not sure why they are hiding…

In response to your reply- as stated above- we have tried emailing and calling. We’ve spoken to Britney (Australia) and Katherine, have tried on multiple occasions to get Ian to respond but had no response.

I’d actually like a full refund for all of the courses I’ve started with you as I’m appalled by the service, communication and amazed at how disorganised everything has been.

If you can’t look back through emails or keep track of phone conversations I’ll have to contest the charges with the Ombudsman and credit card companies.

So we’ve now been contacted offering to fly us to Sydney to do another course expenses paid, spoken to Ian and assured this will happen- a few follow- ups from our end with no further details or confirmation of this…

0 stars. I am a UK doctor, graduated in 1999, I have never experienced such shoddy, careless, potentially dangerous training. This is a terrible training team. They charged £2500 to complete foundation training over one weekend for botox and dermal filler. I paid the £2500, attended 2 full days Saturday and Sunday, paid for childcare on top. Arrived Saturday. One student present had not practiced as a nurse for years and had qualified abroad. She did not hold a UK registration and complained and interrupted throughout the training that she did not understand the trainer. She repeatedly interrupted and complained that it was the worse course she had ever attended. We were given very few patients to practice upon. On the second day (filler day), only one patient turned up. The trainer explained that no one attending the course would receive a certificate because of insufficient models. I was then offered further days 2 months later to complete the training despite having already paid £2500 , childcare and given up a whole weekend. Subsequently, I received in writing in July that I would receive a full refund. It is now late October and I have countless unanswered emails and unreturned phone calls. I am still waiting for confirmed refund of £2500. Awful awful company. Utter waste of time and lacking any accountability or professionalism. Do not use this company.

Had a fabulous experience yesterday being a model for Botox. Roxanne coordinated my appointment. She did an amazing job. Mike the course coordinator was lovely to and very attentive. I was super impressed with the views in the training centre in Chiswick. Would highly recommend.

The first place I ever experienced botched Tear Trough Filler. Several months after my treatment I had to go back into the clinic for a "review" because I started getting lumps under my eyes after the treatment. Turns out the trainer that day inserted the needle way too far into the corners and damaged the lymphatics under my eyes. Hence why my swelling has been getting worse every month. The doctor during my "review" just said he can't do anything and that "I just got unlucky" with the trainer that day. I asked for a refund for the treatment and was refused. There is zero accountability in this place. Please avoid it, they will not help you after they mess up. I'm never going back.
(I'm in my mid-20s and I've never had problems like the below).

Roxanne the operational manger was very helpful and understanding in booking the right qualified trainer for my appointment.

I was greeted very warmly by Francesca the Trainer who would be doing my face filler injections.

Being 58 years old, I needed advice on looking fresh and youthful.

After a full consultation and having fillers. Francesca handed me a mirror. Oh my I was completely blown away… Francesca with her professional skills managed to turn back time by 10 years.

I will be returning to Medical and Aesthetics Training Academy 100%

Had fabulous treatment from Roxanne, Heidi and the team there. The The chaperone met at the door, looked after us with coffee and water. The whole experience was so welcoming, professional and relaxing. They answered all my questions and had great knowledge of the products and treatments.

Had a fantastic training course with MATA in Glasgow. Sarah was my trainer a wealth of knowledge, patent and very professional. I feel so much more confident entering the world of aesthetics after yesterday. Would highly recommend.
