Villa 716 Dunas Douradas Arrived 27th December. No heating, no hot water, house like fridge, went to bed fully clothed Don't use this company

Booked through VRBO and paid in full. I thought that was the end of it.

Clare at golden triangle then sent me the bill for the same place direct. Once that was cleared up she then demanded £1000 deposit on top of what I paid VRBO, or I couldn't stay. I was then told by Clare to rent a cot for my 2 year old as the house doesn’t provide. I spoke with the local house rep the day before the booking and she opened a cupboard in the house and took a cot out! She was also confused by golden triangle responses. Be wary of them as it’s probably the worst customer experience I’ve ever had from both Robert and Clare at golden triangle. Not what you need on holiday.

We recently stayed in 716 Dunas Douradas and had a fantastic time.

We arrived at Faro and had Robert organise a transfer for airport to villa, and for your fridge to be stocked upon our arrival, seamless and stress free.

Looking to rent a villa for our summer stay in the Algarve and it prompted us to write an overdue review on Golden Triangle Properties, as we would certainly never rent from this company again. In good faith, we put down a £3.5k deposit on a villa 2 years ago. We were unable to travel because of the Covid-19 restrictions and therefore contacted Golden Triangle to ask if we could either have our deposit returned, or indeed to leave this money as deposit for travel at a future date. Our calls and emails went totally unanswered. My mother managed to speak to a female representative of the company who was rude, and extremely short with her, with no sympathy whatsoever. She told us the deposit was with the property owner and that nothing further could be done. We emailed Robert Brand, and emailed again and again. I think 3 emails, maybe 4 were sent, non of which were ever returned. Absolutely dreadful way of treating clients. There are brilliant villa rental companies out there, this is not one of them.
