Red Coat Guided Tours

Excellent tour. We did the Sunday, 11 am tour from the Cathedral for the city wall with our wonderful tour guide named Peter, and the two hours passed in a blink of an eye. It was informative, fun as well as showed us the wonderful views of the current city, at the same time giving us a glimpse of the past. 100% recommend it on a sunny day, with plenty of water and sports shoes. And the volunteer guide was lovely.
Go for it!

City Wall tour conducted by Mike on Sunday 10th April. A fantastic way to spend 2 hours on a Sunday morning. Mike was really friendly and informative. The walk is a really good way to orientate yourself with the city and give you some really useful information to make the best use of time for a great weekend.

Fab tour from this lady (didn’t catch her name). Just the right length and distance to walk. Very clear and concise and so much detail. Lots of illustrations to help put info in historical context but her patter was all from memory. Will definitely go on another tour when I get the chance.

Free guided tours by well informed, interesting tour guides. Pete did the Introductory tour of Exeter. Also attended the Quay guide. I'll put the pictures of the 2 guides up. They were both excellent.

Great tour. John was excellent, knew his stuff, but didn't delve too deeply into academia territory. It was well balanced and well paced. John talks with passion, pride (of the city) and good humour. Well done, John and many thanks. Andy & Jen

Had a wonderful tour today of the Bishop's Palace Garden with Mike as our tour guide. Free tour with lots of information and Mike was very friendly. I would love to try a different tour and I would recommend this.

Fantastic tour by David on a cold winter’s day. His knowledge was extremely impressive and he showed us plenty of interesting sights around Exeter. Well worth the trip!
