Kumon Maths & English

Kennington Kumon Centre has help our son developed his academic achievement. Staff and tutors are very friendly and helpful.

The centre is well equipped and conducive for student learning. The only draw back is parents waiting lounge is not suitable enough, especially with small children as the noise level is not kept to a minimum, this despite of staff reminding parents to keep noise level down. The location of the centre is well serve with good transport connection - near bus stops, underground train station and car parking locations around the centre.

Abby the head instructor is a wonderful teacher and a mentor, we could not ask for anyone else to be a role model to our son. A good motivator, she is strict but fair and a good example for us to follow.

I have found this centre to be inclusive and very nurturing. The instructor Ms Abe is extremely patient, builds a good relationship with the children and works hard with the children to ensure that they achieve above expectations. My children have really benefited from doing Kumon even though they only do Maths and have gained confidence in cracking on with their work independently.

Enrolling my kids at the Kumon Maths & English Center @ Kennington is one of the best decision we have ever made. I grew up from a different educational background and knew that the current level of the educational standard in England do not go far enough to help bring out the best in my kids academic progression.

Kumon not only provides that bridge, they also form very good habits. They get to learn to finding solution to problems themselves instead of waiting on the world, get to used to doing homework everyday, learn from their mistakes by trying again and getting better with it. They learn about the importance of time and working with accuracy.

These apart from the academic improvements, are some of the skills they get equipped with at a very early stage of their lives.

I have seen a great deal of improvement in their composure and attitudes to taking on challenges, academic abilities in reading and the mathematics. You are part of your child’s progression and can see the remarkable progress made.

Kumon has been fun for my children and I. Though it has its challenges (keeping on top of the home work and corrections), but the aspect I admire is that of independent learning. Because that is a good learning curve for them for their later years.

Kumon has helped develop my children’s ability and confidence in mathematics. They have discovered themselves in this core subject and enjoy learning new methods of tackling hard mathematics the Kumon way.

Excellent Study Programme that cultivates independent lifelong learning. Rigorous Curriculum that supports SATS, GCSE, etc... preparation!
