The Tutor Surgery New Eltham: Alex Cleater & Avie Cleater

I came to Alex in late year 10 to boost my grade from a C grade into a B grade in Maths. Alex was an amazing tutor for the year that I had him. He doesn't only teach you skills in that area but he also teaches you skills in which help you for the future. For example taking down notes that help you remember key facts and important methods. To my delight I actually achieved an A grade in my GCSE Mathematics result. I would definitely recommend Alex to anyone definitely worth it.

Alex gave my daughter extra Maths GCSE lessons. She worked very hard and got an A*. I am sure that Alex's help made a big impact. I would recommend Alex.

My five year old daughter has been attending a weekly piano lesson with Alex for several months and really enjoys each session. She had previously never played piano but her initial basic interest has turned into a genuine and progressing skill from which she is continuing to develop both in confidence and ability.

Alex's teaching method is extremely effective and enjoyable through practical piano playing and also fun written theory work. It is a great experience for her to be able to play a real piano during her lesson - with practice carried out at home on her battery operated one.

Every minute of the lesson is productive and 'home work' and practice work is provided and essential for continued learning until the next lesson.

The results now are that my daughter is in the basic stages of learning to read music and is able to play many basic songs and nursery rhymes by heart. She is also developing 'an ear' for what is right and wrong through Alex's expert guidance.

The lessons are in a nice homely environment in a quiet location with ample parking.

I have been very impressed throughout the the year and look forward to seeing the development of my daughters piano playing with Alex.

Alex takes step by step approach to improve the understanding and concept of the subject, then he allocates sufficient homework for exercise and followup review is done each week. He provides regular feedback on progress. My son has made good progress in science and would recommend him for others who struggle with complexity.

My 8 year old daughter had started piano lessons with Alex since end of September and has done incredibly well. I wasn't sure about the online lessons but I have to say it has exceeded my expectations, Alex is great and Keeps GABRIELLE engaged, motivated and concentrated for the entire lesson. My son enjoyed his piano lessons with Alex. He is patient, funny and experienced in teaching. It's shame that we had to leave due to long distance (Alex is based in South east London and we live west of London) and find a new teacher nearby. Would recommend Alex to friends!
