I went to the Crosby store to buy uniform for my son. One of the items that I needed was not available in store. The sales assistant advised me that the item could be ordered from their main website and gave me a free delivery discount code.
I ordered and paid for the item online and did not receive my order.
I emailed customer service and received a blunt response telling me that there had been a glitch with their system, they cancelled my order but still took payment. I was told to re order the item through the website.
I explained that they had my payment, could they not reinstate the item and send the order - this would be the logical solution.
Apparently this is not possible???. I need to re order and pay delivery costs 🤷‍♀️
This company is now our school uniform supplier.
The lack of customer service and attitude to customers is appalling, staff training is certainly required.
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID and spend your money elsewhere.

Wish I had the option for zero stars. Absolutely infuriating shop- pick and choose their own opening times. Made an appointment online last year - turned up at the right time and date - shop closed.
Attended this week to literally take uniform straight from the shelf - without trying on and before I could take a single step further through the door I was asked if I had an appointment and they were fully booked this day. There were 3 members of staff literally just stood behind looking at me - what a joke. They wouldn’t even let me in to take from the shelf. What other shop does this?? Ridiculous.
I was told it was due to health and safety- if this was the case then surely they should be wearing face masks if they are that concerned with health and safety. There were 2 other parents in the shop and more staff than customers.
We were told to book online or wait outside for someone to become free. We tried to book online to find the whole of August unavailable to book?!
This is shocking service and behaviour- we will be complaining to the school about this and starting a petition to be able to purchase uniform from elsewhere so that Monkhouse do not have the monopoly on Crosby uniforms. They also hold parents ransom over buying every piece from them - trust me it is fine to buy plain shirts, skirts, trousers etc from elsewhere at a much more reasonable cost. Monkhouse told us previously that we would have a letter from the school if we did not buy from them directly - we’ve been buying our daughters skirts from M&S for the past 4 years and no, we have not had a letter from the school.
Appalling service adding unnecessary stress and upset to parents who simply want to buy school uniform without any inconvenience or barriers.

Arrive at Crosby shop to be told appointment only by the manager but the staff are all stood about not serving. Questioned why I couldn’t be served or just pick what I want myself and was told to go online. Then told to wait in cue outside (no one outside) only me three minutes later was told I could go in. Arrogant poorly organised set up! Met by a customer leaving who echoed my thoughts… never again

Shop wasn't to bad as we got most of my daughter uniform . ..BUT ordered the blouse on the 7th of June now we in august 23rd and still no update on when it's gonna arrive

Would give 0 stars if possible. Young girls with no knowledge of products or requirements for schools. Quality far worse than last year. Wouldn't help sourcing from other stores. Very unhelpful. More interested in gossiping with other staff!

Horrendous experience , will not be returning for uniform to this branch. Young staff standing around telling me they all fully booked today and only two people in their large store , when I could see our school uniform within 3 steps into the store and only wanted to try on a cardigan for my daughter and was greeted by a chin wearing mask young tall lad with “ try or buy “ I was flabbergasted at this comment.

I took my business elsewhere & successfully purchased 5 cardigans in under 3 minutes in another local store. So word of warning if you haven’t got an appointment and you can see the shop is empty and you know what your buying they don’t want to know or want your money!!!

UPDATE!! The online order I placed on 4th July arrived 2 working days before the start of term with trousers missing. These arrived mid October but I had to return them as they were too big. I've heard nothing about my immediate order for replacements and its now November. School says they are in daily contact with Monkhouse, lucky them because the customers actually paying for the uniform are blocked from contacting the company by any method. Disgraceful BEWARE!!! Booking system sent a confirmation of my Sunday appointment as advertised but after driving all the way to Crosby we found the shop closed. Awful experience already!!!

Shame! No option for posting zero stars.
The customer service here is absolutely dire. Uniform ordered in July still not in and school starts next week. Was told that the uniform would be delivered once it's all in. Only waiting for a sports top. Called today to collect what they did have in to be told they haven't got it.
Tried ringing numerous times to enquire about the ordered uniform but they don't answer the phone. Calls get redirected to their main office apparently. Absolutely disgusted!
