Was looking around for a good used Mini Countryman for my wife, tried a few places and nothing beat the condition that Bilsborrow Car sales had on their forecourt. Test drove the car (as did my wife), all serviced, MOT up to date and at a fair price, all with a 12 month warranty for piece of mind. David great to deal with no pressure, been in the game 20+ years and you could tell that from his approach.....we did detour a bit discussing UK politics! that was fun. Would recommend you take a look at their cars yourself!

Kindly asked for the bottom price on a vehicle and was responded too in an unprofessional manner told bluntly "suggest you look elsewhere". A bit of back and forth between consumer and salespeople is the norm in almost all circumstances but all I got was a bad vibe, rudeness and unprofessional attitude from the get go. Just lost out on a potential sale as I was willing to go very close to asking price just wanted to know what play there was in price as most consumers do when buying a used car.
I am sure the vehicles they sell are of a high standard but cannot comment as did not get the chance too sadly.

To re-iterate, I enquired about a vehicle and was simply bartering. This is standard within the car sales industry, upon trying to continue conversing and potentially viewing the vehicle in question the respondent was simply rude.

Once again, excellent advice & help in the purchase of a a second car in a year. Now have two great cars from Bilsborrow Car Sales. Honest, trustworthy, no unnecessary sales hype, what you need to know, great support & service. Definitely recommended for purchasing an excellent vehicle.

I purchase a Mini Paceman, after a week or so I became aware the start stop wasn’t working advised by Dave that they knew and don’t replace the battery as it cuts in to there profit, they didn’t advise of it in the advert or when I agreed to Buy the car. also the car felt a little off and soon after the clutch started slipping, garage engorged first email about the issue, and just rude and unhelpful on further ones. after 3 months the car is mainly un drivable except for short runs, no motorway driving. Advised basically that the car got me home on the day of purchase and “had no issues when sold” Now faced with a £2000 repair bill and having to take them to court. I’m sure if the car is right you will be ok, but in 25 years of buying cars this is the worst car and experience I’ve had to date.

Bilsborrow Car Sales is a small car dealer which about a dozen cars on display when I visited them. I had spotted a car on Auto Trader, which I was very interested in buying. I called them and spoke with Dave who was very courteous and provided me with all the information I needed.
When I visited a few days later, Dave gave me the keys to the car to inspect at my leisure. He also offered me a test drive of the car. I found the car to be excellent condition and found its performance faultless during the test drive.
Dave then took my part exchange for a test drive to determine its value. He very quickly determined the faults with my part exchange and we settled on a fair price.
After buying the car, I took it to my own garage for a checkup. The mechanics indicated that the car was in excellent condition.
Dave was very courteous throughout the transaction and never pushed for a sale. He let me decide what to do, and business was concluded easily and promptly.

Bought a Volvo V40 from Dave 8.5k with the 12 months warranty. 7 months later it started making a funny noise, turned out the gear box had gone, Dave told me to contact the warranty company which I did. They then sent an inspector out about 3 days later. They then refused to pay for any work and said it was down to wear and tear and it was a failed baring with in the gear box that was not covered.
Dave then contacted A1 Approved warranty who then agreed to pay £1175 towards the cost which was a total of £2482 so less than half the cost. Then 2 weeks after getting the car back I found out the drivers side coil spring had snapped, which again the warranty company would not pay for as they said it was down to corrosion. So cost me another £182. I emailed Dave about this but he did not have the decentancy to reply never mind pay for it.
