Car ended up being sold with a loss of over £4000, plus the cost of hiring a car to be ale to get to work.
The owner of the garage told us not to bother speaking to trading standards as they 'have a very good legal team'. Odd approach for a customer facing business, you would think they would rather put things right than go straight down the legal route.
The man we spoke to was disreputable and rude, not willing to help of such - any question felt like a burden for him to answer. The business is unprincipled, lacking knowledge of the vehicles they are selling.
Unfortunate as a good local mechanic recommended to walk-in to scope out a good car. Wouldn’t advise anyone to come here after my experience. Avoid.
Being someone who has brought from auctions, small dealerships and official dealerships, I much prefer this laud back sales attitude. The staff are there if you have questions but don't follow you round like vultures with a commission target.
I'm seeing a lot of reviews on here about cars not being right from the get go, but to me I feel like it is your responsibility as a buyer to test and do your research before committing to purchase. I thoroughly test drove a couple of the SUVs and one to me didn't feel right... Guess what, I didn't buy that one!
They offer a 6 month warranty which to be honest is more than other small garages offer and if something was to go wrong I'd be straight on the phone, not sitting on it for months then getting angry.
As for the comment on "scruffy appearance", grow up! You've gone to a dealerships who look after all the cars themselves and check and clean them. How often do you go to a garage to get your car fixed by a guy in a suit!?
So now that's off my chest...all in all I'm happy and feel all went smoothly. Thank you.

I was told on two occasions that you personally would be calling us. I even told you the second time that when you said you would call me back later that day after you had made some other enquiries that I would be working and that you would need to leave me a voicemail which you stated you would
At NO point did you state it was the finance companies that would be in touch. And honestly, that's not how most companies handle things.
Don't try and justify your poor customer handling by blaming someone else. That makes you look even worse. Every bad review you get you don't seem to take responsibility for. Enough said
