Today we collected a Seat Leon from Country Cars. The advert for the car was accurate, pictures correct. Martin & Karen extremely helpful via email & on the phone & even more so in person. We were offered a very fair price for our PX.
As car buying goes this was a very pleasant & painless experience. Many thanks.

I can fully recommend Country Cars.
The staff there treated me extremely well and made the whole process of buying my car very easy.
Everything was done on line from home and all I needed to do was collect the car.
It took only 2 days from my initial contact with them to then collec ting the car.

Excellent service from start to finish, no pressure sales. To be honest the car sold its self, full service history and beautifully detailed. I'm very happy and would be happy to recommend Country Car

I bought my wife a car from Country Car in December 2021 and whilst we had a few problems that needed to be rectified we were reasonably happy. However in Ap;ril 2022 we had an issue with the car's thermostat which we took to our trusted local garage to have fixed as the AA warranty provided with the car had expired a little before the problem surfaced. I do not have a problem with this and paid for the repair.
What I have a problem with is that when the car was in for repair my garage noticed that the car's oil and air filter were extremely dirty which was very surprising as the car had only completed just over 800 miles since its purchase. When the car was purchased I was advised it had been serviced before being handed over to me and in fact I had to return to Country Car to get the service record stamped as it wasn't when handed over. Country car were more than happy to do this. I rang Country cars to query the service, as it clearly had not been completed and was advised that I would need to e mail them. I have now emailed them 3 times and have yet to receive even the courtesy of a response from them.
It would appear that Country Car dont care too much about their customers once they have received their money, certainly would not recommend them to anyone.

I reserved a car online by paying a £100 fee online, through their website. The next morning, first thing, I spoke with a lady from the car dealership to confirm my reservation and discuss when I was would be collecting the car. At lunch time, I received a call to say that someone had reserved the car online 15 minutes before me, therefore the car has been sold to them and they thought I was someone else when I spoke with them on the telephone earlier in the day.

All in all, as I'm sure you can imagine, I'm left feeling quite disappointed with my experience of the dealership. I took out a loan to pay for the car, which I am now needing to return.

They did refund my deposit on the same day, but they initially offered to send a cheque, to which I requested a bank transfer.

I would suggest that they take a look at their reservation process, if more than one person is able to reserve a vehicle.

I purchased my first BMW from here, however found out one week later that my discs were scored and in need of changing. Contacted the garage as an MOT inspector local to me said 2 out of 4 were a fail and the brake pads were an advisory with little time left. Not what I expected when paying quite a bit of money for a nice car. Have to date spoke with the garage about 6 times and each time I have been told to leave it with them. Was even asked to post my discs back to them (weight alone would cost loads) so they could view them. Photos sent in December 2020 and still no answer or call back as promised. Not the best of service to be honest.

In response to the owner

I fully understand that in an ideal world, the parts would be needed for inspection to show any fault. But as discussed over the phone, the cost of sending these parts was too much, however a series of detailed photographs were sent (example of one below) for presentation to the place where the vehicle was inspected. One of the issues I had was the lack of communication. Every time I contacted yourselves for an update, I was told it was being looked into and was never called back. I received a couple of emails thanking me for the pictures (which I can display) and that they would be forwarded for a decision. To date I still await that response.

I spotted a nice looking car on Autotrader and called Country Car to get more detail.
I spoke with Martin on the phone and arranged to come and see the car the next day.

When I arrived on site I was greeted by Martin and several beautiful cars in a clean and smart location.

After spending some time admiring a BMW M1 (way out of my league) I test drove an immaculate BMW 1 series and bought it that same day.

The aftercare has been superb and my experience was unhurried, relaxed and very unlike your typical used car dealership.

I would highly recommend Country Car and Martin for anyone thinking about making a visit.

Thanks,

Dan

My first point of contact was Karen, the business administrator for the garage. She was incredibly professional & patient, despite my flurry of phone calls & emails whilst trying to ascertain whether the Lexus hybrid I was interested in was right for me. She then handed me over to Martin who handled the sale (and who kindly agreed to a part exchange with my old banger). They charged me a fair price for a decent car & I received friendly, good old fashioned service whilst making the purchase. At no stage of the process was I made to feel uncomfortable or rushed. I normally abhor the ritual of buying a car because of so many unpleasant prior experiences, but these guys left me with a happy memory. Many thanks to Country Car Barford, sending best wishes to you both.
