After arriving at the car lot. Was greeted by a good couple of sales men to be told the car I want is at the sister garage about 10 minute away.
The car lot is a great garage with nice clean cars and good sales people.
But arriving at there sister garage, which is under a different name. It was horrendous the car I called up about was filthy and wasnt ready for a test drive .most of all the things I asked about over the phone did aircon work to be told yes and was it ready to go yes. It wasnt windscreen was cracked no aircon ect.
I would like to thank this place for wasting 5 hours of my life and if you ever have to go to there sister garage dont bother. It's a scrap yard and sales guy is useless cant even be bothered to clean a car.
Do your self a favour the car lot dont let your other garage bring you down.
Immediately became difficult to get in contact with after I’d paid the large deposit requested, not even acknowledging receipt for weeks.
The car required engine work, but it was almost SIX MONTHS from paying deposit until car was ‘ready’, during which my requests for updates were mostly ignored or I was fobbed off with false assurances.
Both myself and the garage doing the engine work highlighted a number of other issues with the car. The dealer clearly stated that all these faults, which included fuel gauge, temperature gauge, had been resolved.
He effectively prevented me from having an inspection done prior to final purchase, was just eager to get the car moved on.
Upon sale, it was immediately obvious that none of the faults that had been highlighted had been fixed at all, and many other expensive issues were identified by an inspection that only now could take place unhindered.
I contacted Citizens Advice and they informed me that, given the multitude of faults, I could return the car for a full refund within 30 days, which I did. The dealer then has 14 days to send the refund, and just to be awkward, waited until just over an hour before the midnight deadline to send it, 14 days after he’d had the car back.
He couldn’t care less that I had wasted over £1,200 on transportation and the inspection, not to mention other out of pocket expenses.
Stay well away from this dealer.
So taking into account the fact that the car has been great and exactly what I was looking for, I have dropped a couple of stars in my review due to really poor communication and overall just really bad service, guys were polite enough but got to get systems in place so this kind of mismanagement doesn't happen
