A very positive experience buying a used car. Not pushy and very supportive with sound advice throughout the whole process. We were allowed to try a few cars that we were considering. The car had a minor service and 12 months MOT before they would let us have it. It was nice to see the care they take to thoroughly clean the cars, even straight after we test drove them. They hadn’t quite finish the interior clean when we did the deal and insisted they wanted to finish it the following morning. I liked this approach rather than just wanting rid of the car ASAP. Paperwork was easy to sort out. It’s only been 1 day so can’t really comment on the car as such but so far, so good. About as good a used car buying experience as I have had anywhere. Would thoroughly recommend giving them a try if looking in their price bracket.

We needed to buy a car quickly and Barbourne Car Sales were recommended to us by a friend. We met Phil and he helped us quickly and easily purchase a car.
Within a short time the car developed an electrical fault. Phil arranged for it to be checked and repaired. The fault persisted and although we were willing to be patient Phil offered to help us draw back the monies from the finance company and help us purchase a different vehicle.
This new car is running just fine and we couldn’t be happier with Phil’s service and support.

Fantastic service. Steve was fully informed on all the cars we enquired about, friendly, helpful and not at all pushy, he bent over backwards to assist us. Very efficient administration of the paperwork for the purchase of our new car. We highly recommend and would use again.

Purchased my car 3 months ago, there were a couple of little issues that needed sorting (the car had only just came in), this was done and resolved very quickly without question and handled very professionally, will definitely return when changing cars again 👍👍

Couldn’t recommend these guys enough! They were extremely helpful when choosing and buying my first car. Had a small issue with the car the next day of purchasing which we later found out was totally my fault and they resolved it the next working day without even questioning it. If I could give no stars I would!

I brought a car Dec 2021, thought I was getting a really good deal, within a few weeks the car had to go back because it developed a banging, turns out the shock has a crack in & had snapped. Luckily still under warranty they fixed it. Thought that was the end of it.

A couple of weeks ago the right hand side of the bumper popped off, so I took it to a garage to have a look at what was going on.

In short, the vehicle has been in a front end collision and really dodgy put back together.
All it took was one look underneath and you could see the bumper was snapped and was completely out of line.
Now this car was supposedly MOT Nov 2021 by Barbourne(or their garage who does their work) so how was this missed?
Once stripped the garage could see the extent of the damage, both light brackets have previously been repaired (which shouldn't of been missed on an inspection of the vehicle) aswell as the right hand side bumper and wing was GLUED together as the bracket was broken and filled with what we seem to think is a form of polyfiller.

Now I gave the garage the benefit of the doubt and said maybe the previous person had done it & not declared it when selling it on, but my garage is 99.9% sure this would not be missed on an MOT or an inspection of the vehicle ready for resale.
I have emailed Barbourne over 3 days ago & have not received a response, so maybe now I have wrote this they will decide to respond to me.

I am really not happy as I have now had to spend over £1000 to have this rectified & the garage can't even be bothered to respond to my email. I think this is disgusting & actually put me and other road users at risk, as the bumper was being held one by 1 plastic clip! If that 1 clip has failed while I was going down a dual carriageway that could of caused a serious collision!

I have attached the pictures I have from when I had to drive the bumper duct taped to the garage, to some of the issues the garage has sent me pictures of.

Fantastic service, Phil came out on a Sunday so we could view a car. There was such a good selection of quality cars, we eventually decided on a car we liked and sorted it out there and then. We even got a great deal on our old car p/x. Its not easy to find a good honest car dealer these days but this is one I would definitely recommend to everyone.
