What an amazing first experience at this local LR specialist garage!!

Having just bought a Discovery 4 from a different dealer I needed a new LWN and rear discs and Pads. A quick check and they had the wheel but sorted and as it was on the ramp just did the Discs and Pads there and then!

Lots of communication and advice was offered and the icing on the cake was that they were a min of £50 cheaper than 3 local garages that quoted for the same work.

The waiting area is amazing with a TV to keep the kids occupied and a coffee machine for the grown ups.

I can honestly say this is by far the best garage/dealer I have been to and with out a doubt the best customer service experienced.

I have found my new go to place!

I have been a customer of James French for over 20 years and consider it a good investment of time to take a 4 hour round trip from NW London to drop my car off.

At some time your Land Rover's dash will light up like a Christmas tree - take a tip from me & head straight for James French.

On my first visit with a 12 mth old TD5 Defender, one Land Rover main dealer and an independent specialist had diagnosed possible wiring loom failure and even "squirrel damage" quoting thousands to fix. Following a plug-in of his diagnostic tool, Steve at James French fired the vehicle up without even taking it off the recovery trailer. I believe that James French run a help desk for a major diagnostic tool.

P35 blender motors were sorted painlessly as were other faults beyond the scope of other Land Rover experts and giving me the confidence to continue to enjoy Range Rover ownership. On a subsequent visit for a four-year-old L322 locked in 3rd gear, the dealers and local independents wanted to change the gearbox with the dealer quoting a price of almost £10k! I dropped it into James French where Steve advised me of a far more reasonable price on a new ZF box. He then rang me back the next day to say that he had replaced the stepper motor for a few hundred pounds and the car was ready to collect!

I would not even dream of having our current L405 without the re-assurance of James French close at hand. Needless to say, I have recommended may other Land Rover users to James French and look forward to continuing to do so.

Have just picked up my 4x4 from James French which had a drive shaft issue. The fault was promptly diagnosed, parts ordered, and the vehicle booked in by return. Without doubt the service team are amongst the most knowledgeable and experienced in this field for miles. An absolutely superb service facility and my sincere thanks for a speedy job completed with courtesy on top.

Just a note to thank you for your very prompt and efficient work today - realigning the tailgate on my Range Rover Sport. It was a real pleasure to experience such a ‘can do’ approach!

So glad I've found this place. Chalk and cheese compared to the other two Land Rover service places I've been to. Chris was extremely friendly, efficient and knowledgable - really helped me understand the issues, various options and costs. Why can't all customer service experiences be like this?

If you wish to avoid trouble with your Land Rover do not use this garage. Not only do they fail to diagnose problems correctly, when work and repairs completed by them do fail, they refuse to do anything about it despite less than 6 months having passed. Having dealt with many main dealers and private specialist over the years for many prestige makes of cars, this is the worst experience I've ever received. What went from a simple primary turbo failure resulted in both turbos failing and a extensively damaged engine. Now with the engine rebuilt a fault generated within one of the turbos they replaced or repaired and rather than acknowledging the fault and working to correct it, instead they refused to have anything to do with the car. The matter has now been passed to citizens advice and trading standards with legal action to follow given the lack of 12 months warranty on parts and labour being adhered to as advertised.
