By far a fantastic car seller. Looked after me and very understanding. Went the extra mile in every aspect of customer service. They were very open and honest about the car I purchased.
Car was cleaned to a very high standard. And in exceptional condition for its age and price. Prices on their cars are very reasonable.

Saw a bmw advertised on Autotrader and put a deposit down over the phone as the showroom was 100 miles away and I really wanted the car. James was very honest regarding a couple of defects the car had and he was happy to fix these before my purchase. Looking at online reviews, he seems to have many happy customers and I don't doubt this. My experience however has been very poor.

3 weeks later (2 weeks after originally planned) he delivered the car to me at work. He was 'in a hurry' so I didn't get a good chance to look at the car and more importantly, didn't get the v5 green slip off him before he headed off.
After several phonecalls over the next few weeks reminding James to post this through (along with the service book he'd also forgotten) an envelope came through the door with the service book and miscellaneous former mot documents (not the up to date one) but still no green slip as promised.
James assured me the v5 was on its way to the dvla so I could receive the new document and tax the vehicle. It wasnt and I couldn't.
Over 2 months after purchasing the vehicle I rung the dvla who confirmed that the car was still in trade. I therefore had to apply for the v5 at a post office to register the car in my name and tax it at an extra cost.

Another issue was with the rear wiper which was was not working. I made James aware of this and we agreed that I'd get it fixed, send him the receipt and he'd pay it back to me under the warranty. Two months and several phonecalls and there's still no sign of the £230 due to me. Not alot of money but should be sorted.

Other issues include;
-A chipped windscreen on delivery. I agreed to fix it but it's not my perogative.
-Xenon lights are different colours. Not the end of the world but when I mentioned this to him before I bought the car he denied it.
-The mileage was infact 5000 more than advertised
-The car was serviced before I bought it but, having done only 3000 miles in it so far, the service light has come back on. Mysterious.

I didn't want to leave a bad review. The car itself is fine and James is a good guy who has many happy customers. For me though, it's been frustrating and disappointing overall.

Amazing place to buy our car from. Nothing was too much hassle. 2 parts were missing from the car but they had already ordered 1 before we viewed the car and the other they ordered for us straight away. They were so helpful and patient with us. We will deffo buy another car in the future from them.

Cannot fault James and his team, bought a car online without viewing as we were some way away from the garage. James was super helpful and completely open on the condition of the vehicle sending us a video pointing out any age related marks/damage he could see.
The car was in great shape and really well priced, it was MOT'd, cleaned to a high standard including the seats and delivered to us all within a matter of days.
If you want a no hassle, friendly, helpful and honest car buying experience then James and Small Affordable Cars are the people to speak too! Highly recommended, thanks guys.

Absolutely amazing experience. When first viewing the car the customer service was incredible! The guys were not pushy at all, completely friendly, honest and relaxed. I brought my first car from here today a Citroen c1 in a gorgeous blue colour. The team here couldn’t do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble and answered every enquiry I had. I really wanted a touchscreen car play in the car and I got in touch with the team and they made this happen for me. I was over the moon! Also showing me how it works and how it was fitted. The car was spotless and shining on viewing and pickup and smelt amazing. I am so happy I found the perfect place for my car. They made every second so enjoyable and I can’t thank them enough. You will not find better service anywhere! I cannot rate them enough. If you’re looking for a new car, don’t look any further this is the place to be! Thank you so much again.

Delivered a faulty car with numerous little faults they were made aware of on day 1 of me driving it.. illegal tyre threads for 1, making a terrible noise, clearly without a service upon inspection or any documents to prove this when questioed multiple times. Following 1 garage and 1 local mechanic inspection to confirm this car was NOT as sold to me and not worth my time on day of it turning up. Dealer recculant to agree collection and refund, but eventually agreed my full refund if I sent back the logbook. Manager had me under the impression I was awaiting a log book that was actually never transferred over to me according to my conversation with DVLA. After waiting with no car and no money back and now no log book, I seeked advise. I was told the car was put in someone's else name 2 days prior to my phone call with DVLA. A terribly argumentative attitude from the manager again when questioned on this..but again, agreed my refund. He was very annoyed regarding his delivery costs despite my offer to get it delivered half way he arranged collection ASAP and off the car went (another argumentitive phone call when I refused to hand over the green slip without my money back. Despite my rights (which I will pursue), he has refunded my money however, taken it upon himself to keep £200 of my agreed refund despite the agreement. This car and company cost me a lot of hassle and wasted time and money. Taking it upon themselves to keep some of my money ontop of the efforts to get it back is not OK. Do not recommend.

Purchased a car in January. There has been an issue with the window which James agreed to fix before delivering, but the garage he used didn't do the job properly. Thankfully, this will be resolved as the car will be booked in for repair. There have been no other issues with the car, and overall we got good value for money.
