As first time buyers, the experience of dealing with car dealers was very challenging. We even nearly purchased a written off car due to some dishonest people.
We were on the verge of giving up on purchasing our new car. Luckily, we found Rob who happens to have the car we wanted. Surprisingly, the price was better than most and we were worried that it would be another let down. However, speaking to Rob, we immediately felt that he is a genuine, honest person. He was very polite and patient to answer all our questions. He even went the extra mile and delivered the car to us despite the distance. He gave us valuable advice and made sure the car is all ready for us.

Bought a lovely Audi A4 Avant off rob, I have had the vehicle for over six months now and it has been brilliant! We went to view the vehicle at his unit and the atmosphere was nice and professional, we were allowed to look around the car and drive/inspect the vehicle as much as we wanted.

Rob is a different kind of car dealer, in 30+ years of buying cars I’ve never dealt with anyone as genuine. He loves what he does & is very trusting when you go to test drive his cars . No hard sell or bull , just lets you drive & make your own mind up . I would most defiantly use Rob again ( be a few years tho the car I’ve got off him is outstanding)& have no problem giving Rob 5 stars for is service. Shame all second hand car sales men aren’t like him .

We were looking for a good value runaround (~£1.5k) and Rob had been recommended to us by some local farmers and friends.
He had a couple of cars that fitted our requirements and there was no hard sell, just honest advice, and we bought ourselves a car. He put it through an MOT, including doing extra work beyond the MOT requirements by removing advisories as some of the tyres were a little worn, but would still have passed the MOT.
A few weeks after buying our car, there was a leak in the cooling system so we phoned Rob and he was very helpful - he gave us practical advice to manage it short term, and then offered to take it in and get it sorted for us free of charge.
I would never have expected the sort of service we got from Rob - quite different aftersales experience than I would expect from a used car dealership.
I now recommend Rob Garratt to friends and family. He also has a really nice Morris Minor that he says he isn't selling that is well worth a look at!

Bought a 2012 Astra CDTI 2.0 SRI from Rob recently. Low mileage and was in very good condition for the year. Felt no pressure to buy and Rob let me test drive it and give it a good inspection whilst he went off doing something else. About 4 weeks after I bought it I discovered that the stop/start wasn’t working. Took it back to Rob who found that it was due to a faulty battery. He didn’t quibble and ordered and replaced the battery a week later. I found Rob to be honest and straightforward in his dealings with me and would not hesitate to buy from him again. He’s also a motorcycle enthusiast, like I am, and that helps lol

Purchased a 208 from Rob and honestly cannot fault him. Such a lovely man nothing was to much trouble. Was able to test drive the car and look around freely without feeling any pressure that you get from other trade places. He made the whole buying experience so easy, helped with all paper work and any questions we had. Would definitely recommend!
