We have had a cottage booked with this company since January and unfortunately, due to the fact that we are in a Tier 2 area, we have been unable to travel into Wales to fulfill our booking, very sadly. The company contacted us in the first place to begin correspondence regarding this problem and offered us 4 options, one of which was a full refund. I accepted this option and the refund was promptly received within a few days into my account. Faultless, professional and friendly service, and proving themselves true, honest and genuine to deal with. Thank you 😊

In August this year when COVID restrictions started to ease we decided to get away over the Christmas period. Following a lengthy search we came across a suitable cottage (for 13 people) near Cardiff. Still concerned about COVID I emailed the contact address on the website asking about their cancellation policy regarding COVID, after a week without a response and concerned we would lose the opportunity, we booked the cottage and paid the £780 deposit. In October this year Walescottageholidays emailed me with two options, pay the remaining £1500 or cancel the booking. As Wales had gone into a higher risk category and families were no longer able to mix (3 families going) I opted (reluctantly) to cancel the booking. After not receiving a refund (6weeks later) I contacted them to ask when I would receive it. To my astonishment they advised I would not get a refund unless the property was re-let to someone else! To date it has not been and in the current climate it is highly unlikely. Please be aware people, companies like this are very good at taking your money but not very good at returning it, it appears money comes before customer service for this company.

The location of Ger y Faen cottage was so unbelievable. Absolutely beautiful scenery leading to and directly around this quaint, clean and comfortable cottage. It is the perfect combination of being secluded for peace and relaxation yet being close enough to the natural surroundings and the attractions such as the devil's bridge and the fantastic waterfall walk.

The hosts were away when we arrived but made sure to call a few days in advance to check we knew where to go and if we had any questions. Their son and daughter-in-law checked in on us when we arrived, again to make sure we had everything we needed and to offer us suggestions of places to visit and directions.
Once the hosts returned, they checked in on us and were just so lovely. We were fortunate enough to be offered a slightly extended check out due to their cleaning schedule, something some hosts wouldn't even consider offering. So a relaxed Sunday check out with a 3-year-old was very welcomed.

The hot tub and sauna were amazing, quick and easy to set up. Amazing value for money to have these amenities in and around the cottage.

I can not wait to return.

Great little studio, very clean, tidy, dog friendly and all amenities that you could need. Very friendly owner who left milk in the fridge and some welsh cakes as a welcome. Great location to reach some lovely walks both locally and further afield but be prepared to drive if you want to go to the shops or eat out.

Garden is well fenced in to prevent any concerns about the dogs getting out. Excellent value for money. I would have given 5 stars, just would have been happier if we could have walked to shops or restaurants.

I have let my cottage with this company for over 35 years. Whilst I understand that online bookings via a strict templated format is the way the industry is going, I still feel that Wales Cottage Holidays are willing to be flexible and try their best to fit my unique cottage owner requirements into their format.

Professional service and very prompt. They do charge a booking fee for booking a holiday through them which is pretty steep at £40. We also had to pay an additional insurance cost.
Overall good company, booking was easy and quick. Fee made it slightly annoying.

Wales Cottage Holidays, were easy to deal with, I booked before covid so my initial dates were cancelled, but I found the staff very helpful in me rebooking my dates. I would use Wales Cottage Holidays again, and can recommend them.

The booking process was fairly straightforward; I was told that the cottage was available and therefore I went ahead with it.
An hour after paying the deposit, I received a pretty short email saying that the owner had refused our booking (the property was offered as fully available, not available on request).
I have tried to question this over the last 3 days, and Wales Cottage Holidays have not replied to my emails (employee called Emma) and are still holding my payment.
Not only that, but the place I booked is available again on the website for £2000 more over the dates we wanted. Shamefully obvious that the owner realised the price wasn't high enough and refused the booking on this basis.
Really disappointed with this service, will not consider your company again.
