City Vets in Heavitree

Easy accessible, helpful veterinary service and will try and keep the cost down if you tell them your financial situation. Have used all the city vets over the years in Exeter. Very good experience with them at very sad times sometimes when elderly pets have needed to be put to sleep but the staff are very compassionate and sympathetic during this time.

I would like a full explanation as to why we have spent hundreds if not thousands of £’s with City Vets and to be told on two accounts that we need to be thinking about putting our dog down due to a spinal disease.
We have been referred to another veterinary practice, who within 30 minutes was able to visually examine our dog and explain that all the tablets (9 a day) were incorrect and the 4 vets we had seen at City vets were wrong. 24 hours later our dog can walk again and is on one tablet a day. Please explain to me why you made my dog worse to the point she was unable to walk or even feed herself. Terrible reception team also and I will be expecting a full refund.
Absolutely appalled by this and I will be taking this further.

Excellent Veterinary Practice. Friendly, professional and knowledgeable. My previous vets always opted for most expensive treatment plan but not so here which is refreshing. Would highly recommend.

Caring, dedicated and friendly staff who are always happy to help and offer support. I'm so glad I chose City Vets for the exotics specialism they offer and am happy to travel that extra distance to give my guinea pigs that extra expertise so often lacking in other Vets Practices. Taking your pet to the vests is never a good thing for both pets and their human companions. City Vets helps to make the process a bit easier. The vets we have seen have been helpful and have treated my pets well. They are knowledgeable and give helpful advice. I like that they are not trying to sell you any additional products or procedures that you don't need.
Will be a regular customer going forward.

Thank you City Vets! We brought our new rescue cat here for her first vet visit. The vet, Vivek, was gentle with our kitty and very helpful and patient with answering our (many) questions as first-time cat owners. He and the wonderful receptionists gave us lots of advice, recommendations, and reassurance. The environment was friendly, clean, and calm (despite the building works). The price for getting our cat checked out, microchipped, and worm treated was very reasonable. Glad to have found a reliable and friendly local vet 👍

They have issues with their finical department. I paid for consolation but received 4 texted asking for payment. So I called my bank got the payment reference no and called heavitree to give them the details. I had to call 3 times because accounts weren't answering the phone. The woman said they would correct the mistake, no opology. Today I get an email and at 1.07 this I had a text about payment.
The vets are are lovely but I don't need this stress when I've paid. An opology and an explanation would be nice.

Absolutely fantastic vets. The 1st time I have taken a snake to a vet and after a quick search for exotic vets livia's name came up had a quick read and my mind was made up.
