Excellent vets, been taking our boxer dogs to Mearley vets for over 30 years. All the vets and staff are very helpful and professional, they have taken excellent care of our beautiful babies from being puppies to having to say goodbye to them in later life

I would like to thank Mearley Vets for the way they handled my very poorly cat and an emotional mother and daughter. This was Whiskers' first time at Mearleys and sadly we took the decision not to try and treat her condition, given her age. Earlier in the afternoon I had a video consultation and both vets and the Receptionists were very caring and sensitive. Thank you also for the lovely card. That is so thoughtful.

Been using this vet's long before being taken over by present owners from John Tindall. Used it over the years for all our dogs, cats, and birds.
Our regular vet is Anne Blackburn, who is extremely good. Known her since she first started many years ago. All our animals, and especially the present one, our K.C. Spaniel just loves going to see her. All staff at all local surgeries very pleasant and helpful, with time to talk to us, and our dog. No rush. So.no complaints.

A terrible experience for our dog who had been suffering from a red rash on her stomach, legs and tail for 2 days. The vet would not take two minutes to speak to us, the Receptionist (not the vet) then diagnosed the symptoms, which subsequently led to an appointment with a vet nurse the next day, rather than the vet that had been requested. Needless to say, the treatment undertaken did not resolve the problem due to it being the wrong diagnosis and the fact that we were incorrectly allocated an appointment with a vet nurse and not a vet. Our dog continued to worsen over a further 4 days. A vet at another veterinary company diagnosed Heidi correctly and she is now well. At Mearley Vets there seems to be a lack of available qualified vets at their practices, the staff do not follow their own ethical guidelines and have a distinct lack of empathy for the animals. They are quick to send reminders for routine treatments such as easy annual vaccinations, but show a total lack of care for when an animal is in need.

Mearley vets have responded to my original complaint with the following comment:

'This has been raised as a complaint with the practice and we have responded privately.'

They have responded privately by taking no responsibility for lack of care, denying the experience we had and have refused to partake in official mediation. A shameful response to a genuine complaint!

Really good vet on this visit. Explained everything in great detail. More than happy with the service he gave me. Highly recommended

I've been using Mearley Vets in Clitheroe for over 15 years and i would never go anywhere else.
They have always taken excellent care of my dogs to the point where they would get excited when i told them we were going to see the vet.

First visit with our dog. He is a large nervous dog. First impression, reception area is spacious, ideal for nervous dogs as they can stay away from other pets! The vet was understanding and Bailey left quite happy, with his check up over and his annual vaccines topped up. Also it was a fair price!.

Great service with friendly staff. My pet was professionally dealt with. It was reassuring that I knew he was in safe hands.
