I moved my cat here last year after becoming unhappy with another vets we are at, and I love it. I feel all the staff care about my pet, and have helped us massively through a bad illness my pet has just had. My cat has been cared for them every day this week and whenever I have called I have had a full update, lots of info and I feel the vets are very thorough and have made sure he is in the best shape to recover. I cannot thank them enough for all the help and care, and can highly recommend them to anyone looking for a vets who care and have fantastic expertise and knowledge.

Taken my 18yr old cat Molly in last week not eating. Turns out it was her teeth. Went in Thursday last for her op. Came out a new cat.
Can't thank the staff there enough for the care they gave her.
Thank you All

I can't recommend this veterinary practice high enough. I moved to Riverbank last year after being treated dreadfully by another practice locally. My cat was going to euthanized but stopped them and took her here where Philippa managed to treat her and 12 months later is perfectly healthy. Marvellous place with wonderful staff.

I used this surgery for 12 years for my cat, Mr Armour & Philippa cared for Bingo incredibly well, through many a illness & ailment. I was always happy with their knowledge, they are incredibly skilled, committed and caring. All their nursing staff were always excellent too. Philippa was a pleasure to deal with and now 6 years on as I look for a surgery again I have great respect for what they did for my girl during her life. If I lived closer I wouldn't hesitate to return here. I hope everyone is doing well x

On the face of it they seem to be a bad vet surgery. Their problem is they put profit before what your pet really needs. My experience with this surgery is one of despair, Constant overcharging at every opportunity with needless medications, tests and anything else they can think of to get more money. Spent over £2,000 in 2 months and no further forward. Avoid this place, there are far better vet surgeries in the Preston area that care more for the animals and not just the money they can earn from them.

My main concern is the double charging for prescription medication that my dog requires. My dog needs only to be seen every 6 months and you will only write a prescription for 3 months without repeating it. This means that you can and do demand a further payment of £21 for another prescription without having to see the dog. There is no reason why your surgery would refuse a repeat prescription when the dog does not need to be examined apart from gaining an extra prescription fee. You know what I am saying is true and you can make out that you are not ripping people off but I am not the only pet owner that has grievance with your surgery for over charging with both insurance claims and prescription charges, as you know only too well!

Absolutely shocking! I have been a loyal customer for years and couldn't be more sickened to be turned away by the head vet and surgeon Richard when my beloved dog was struggling to give birth, he confirmed what i had told him on the phone a pup was stuck he took his consultation fee and i was told if she hadnt passed the pup in an hour or 2 call emergency and wiped his hands. Being as trained as he was he will have known as we feared, she wouldnt make it and ultimately thats what happened. We lost our precious girl because Richard refused to help her, refused to save her life. As a registered and regular customer he should have had a duty of care to my dog. Vets are traditionally in the industry to save lives not this one!! Distraught

Don’t if it was the Christmas blues but the receptionist was very ignorant and rude, only advised that they where not taking on anymore pets after a discussion about why I had to take my pet to the vet it was registered with.

I explained I only wanted the dog put down and didn’t want to register but she was having none of it.

I’m not aware of any law that states you must take your pet to the one you are registered with and she could not explain it and hung up. Very annoyed at this sad time, thought I might of received a little empathy or advice at least.

Our elderly dog had kidney failure and Philippa tried everything she could think of to help him. Sadly he worsened and we had to say goodbye. We can't thank the staff enough for all the love and care they gave to Cap during his long life.
