Saw my 19.6 year old female cat st short notice for an emergency appointment a short while ago. Riachu had ingrown toenails which was treated reassuringly and she is now thriving. X

My dog became unwell with sickness and diarrhoea at the weekend; he'd also gone off his food. I took him to see the vet on Monday; he was very helpful and thorough and my dog was admitted for tests and IV fluids. We were told that evening that he had pancreatitis and a stomach ulcer; he was very unwell. He was admitted again the following day (I don't know why he was discharged overnight, I can only assume that their hospital is not staffed overnight but this wasn't explained). We saw a different vet who gave a better prognosis which turned out to be "false hope" when we saw the original, senior vet again and our dog was admitted for a third day. I have a 12 year old who has PTSD after a traumatic bereavement and when we went to collect the dog yesterday evening we were left waiting for 20 minutes past our appointment time. My daughter was becoming anxious and upset, so I asked the receptionist what was going on. I was told that the delay was due to an emergency case, but not reassured that the emergency wasn't our dog, nor given an update on when we could take him home. When I questioned further I was told that if I didn't like it I should go to a different vet! I tried to explain to the receptionist why my daughter was getting upset and she just snapped back at me that she has PTSD herself. I was surprised at this as couldn't see how it was relevant. I tried to point out that it wasn't the same as my daughter is a child who was worried about her very ill dog. The receptionist argued back that it was exactly the same and then stormed off to the back room leaving her more junior colleague alone. I said that I thought the whole incident was unprofessional and unhelpful and she suggested I write a complaint, so I'm doing so here. The lack of information or empathy from the reception staff made a very stressful situation much worse. Shame as the senior vet was wonderfully helpful and professional. Plus train your reception staff on how to deal with frustrated/ anxious customers. Especially where children are concerned!

The vet on duty was very kind and considerate to a very anxious dog owner. Diagnosis and treatment discussed in full with owner. Highly recommended.

Was my first visit with my kitten. Receptionist was lovely, explained everything in detail. Vet was kind and caring and also explained the next visit requirements and treatments. She seemed interested in my kitten and asked questions. Also when my husband rang later with a question on my behalf they were really helpful

Stefana and the team were incredible when I brought dottie in. She was very poorly and they reassured me and explained everything perfectly. Their attention was amazing even down to calling when we were back home to check on her progress. They have made a very stressful & worrying time a lot easier to cope with

My dogs always go to Collingwood. The staff are fantastic and the care for our family is second to none.
I wouldn't go anywhere else. Pablo and the team are fantastic, always.

The whole team were very kind and very accomodating. I had to change the appointment a couple of times and all staff were very kind and patient. They all showed an interest in Daisy. I was really happy.

After initial hiccup with change over from Pompey, they are very friendly and helpful. Just need to be a bit clearer about what you need to do. Got mixed messages on a number of occasions over when I needed to bring cats in for their yearly weigh in for flea treatment and a number of wasted trips. Would advise that they have an automated message to customers of when they are due for these.
