We've been going to Goddard Stockwell for a while now but service has progressively declined; staff is not always nice and it's hard to get an appointment. The most concerning issue though, is what we perceive as a practice of overcharging and over-treating. Although the actual veterinary is extremely nice and professional, every time we go, no matter how simple the issue, we are prescribed multiple medications, treatments and exams, what leads us to wonder if there are incentives in place to increase billing. Although we have not compared to other vets, over-charging seems to be an issue as well, since our insurance has more than once capped the amount payable for certain medications or treatments claiming unreasonably high prices. All this has led us to start looking for other vets.

Fair pricing and quick service. They don't surprise you with a massive bill and give you the options that best suit you and your animal. Such a calm and friendly vet. Me and my little fur baby thank you all for everything.

My dog had a limp, I took him to Goddard in Stockwell every other day for TWO MONTHS and they prescribed pain killers and various injections of steroids, within 10 mins max we were always in and out. I insisted for more exams and eventually did an X-ray where the vet saw nothing and even said they knew nothing was broken (why the X-ray then?). Anyway, after two months of my pup getting worse and £1000 in X-ray and painkillers I decided to take him somewhere else. Within an hour of actually visiting the dog (not the usual 10 mins in and out) the new vet suspected a nerve tumor due to muscle loss and other symptoms. Within days we finally did a CT scan and an MRI and they did find a tumor. Paw got amputated and now he’s recovering very well as a happy hoppy tripwad. Pretty traumatic experience and I feel guilty for not taking my pup somewhere else sooner. I’d give this practice zero stars if I could.

I have been trying to contact the practice since opening time today, but the phone line is disconnected. I have called every ten minutes, without any luck. Poor service at best

Have used the services at the practice for over 10 years and can’t fault it.
They have always been extremely lovely and have looked after my little shih tzu. Today I’m making the extremely difficult appointment to end her suffering and know the vet will be extremely respectful of me losing my 17 year old baby.

Good as a company but terrible branch.
‘Vet surgeon-Ian’ can’t do a dressing properly and uses some over the counter medication while they charge vet consumption and treatment. Big con vet! Stay away.

Two faced is the best way to describe this branch. Nice in person, however, disrespectful over the phone. Not only from the receptionist but also the veterinary doctor, who is clearly on a power trip. Lack of empathy when faced illnesses that can be detrimental(death) and lack of accountability when given false/incorrect information. Overall rude (mainly from the male veterinary doctor). Both my partner and I have had issues over the phone with booking and general information on separate occasions and are currently looking for a new vet.

Couldn't recommend them more highly. Very helpful, very knowledgeable. A few times they have done themselves out of business by suggesting I wait a day before coming in (they offered an appointment if I wanted to come in anyway). I really respect and value that. My pride and joy has always been treated very well when going in:)
