We lost our dog last year, he was a 'miniature' schnauzer, aged 13. Due to divorce the family were very short on funds This group of vets were particularly helpful in supporting us and our dog Even though he was so elderly, they helped him through his last year, and we didn't feel embarrassed at having not much money . I am still very grateful.

We've had nothing but good experiences with Hampden Vets whether at this location or the hospital in town. Unfortunately we've needed to visit the vets rather more than we would have liked with our pet. I've felt that with each visit both the resident vets here have been extremely helpful, thorough, given clear advice and have sought to resolve our problems with great integrity.

Need to book "appointments" on the day, which is fine if you can ever get through on the phone. And even then, you can expect to be put on hold for the best part off ten minutes (you'll soon learn to hate that tune).

When I did finally get an appointment (it's just a phone consultation) they never actually phoned back. I later found out they couldn't find the time, but they clearly had no intention of making me aware of this. I had to make short-notice adjustments to a very busy work schedule to allow for this absolute waste of time.

Avoid this place like your life depends on it (which it might).

Firstly i would like to point out dr Brodie is an excellent attentive dr who was very professional and provided a 5 star service to me.

However my problem is with another dr, i attended the surgery as while having a chest infection i could hear loud wheezing in my lungs that i wanted investigating, im a young male gym freak who is strong fit and healthy otherwise. While being examined by dr Brodie she wanted a second opinion on a noise that could be heard in my lungs, a second dr entered at this point i believe her name was dr nicola and i tried to replicate the noise for her but with no success on her stethescope, worried im not going to get an xray i would like to check what this is if i cant replicate this noise and dr Brodie asking me to try and make the same noise from earlier i suggested to the other dr to use her ears to listen to my wheeze (standard stuff you would think seeing as being humans we use our EARS for listening but ok) i stood up and was around 12 inches from the other dr's face trying to replicate the noise and to my shock she took a massive step back like as if to say i was in her personal space or i was too close i couldnt believe what i saw it was so akward and something i have never experienced In my life! She made me feel very awkward..and if im being totally honest without being mean she was old enough to be my mother and if i was 20 years older being polite she would still have nothing to worry about at all believe me! I felt compelled to write a review on my experience because this is a dr's surgery where relationship between dr and patient is a very close important and sometimes intimate affair and with the type of treatments required for some patient's there are times when things have to be very close quartered, what would this lady do if somebody 55 years old arrived requiring a prostate exam? Would she take a backwards step there too? Would she make that man feel awkward in some way when you know he already felt awkward having to have his prostate examined? Not really the best quality for a dr in my opinon and the first time i have ever come across something like this in my life. Just wanted to share my experience as i told the mrs when i got home and she was like shocked and compared it to a mechanic who doesnt want any oil on his hands..

Since they are delivering my medication they are very prompt and looking after me very well. When I visit my consultant and he changes or make changes to the medication that I’ve been having I have to come home and ring Fairford Leys Pharmacy to ring my GP to find out if I could start on the new medication straight away because I do not get the letter from the consultant before three weeks. Fairford Leys surgery is so good and from that they ring my GP straightaway to find out about the increase of the decrease of the change of medication. After that I start panicking and wondering whether I have enough medication to last me during the holiday season or the weekend. Fairford Leys surgery is so good that they come specially to drop my medication to me personally and if the driver is not available the man from the surgery himself mcome and deliver my medication in my to my hands which I find really very soothing and it comes me down and I’m back on my medication again. Because of my serious illness I can’t afford to miss any medication and I think they know about it and they realise what I have been going through and that calms me down which is a great therapy from Fairford Leys jsurgery. I have read the reviews but I still stand my ground to say that they are looking after me very well. I give them full marks for looking after me..

Dr Misbah M Ali was extremely unhelpful. We waited for this appointment for over 3 months. When we arrived she told us we were refered to the wrong place and she can't help us. We tried asking questions about next steps or our situation and she said she doesn't know. She offered to do blood tests which we already did and the results were attached to our file. Whilst it wasn't her fault that the referral was wrong, she was very unhelfpul and not understanding towards us and the difficult situation we are in. Very poor

Consistently rude, unhelpful, dismissive, impatient staff. Huffing and puffing at me the moment i ask any question. All they want is you in and out the door as soon as possible. No deviation.
