I wasn't prepared for the outstanding level of service we recieved at Watkins and Tasker.

We'd been taking our ginger Tom ”Minky” here for years and had built a rapport with the staff. Sadly Minky was getting on in years and had become incontinent and arthritic.

It got to the point where we thought he was in too much pain so we bit the bullet and went to the Vet.

Prepared for the worst we were absolutely delighted when Dr Neil our usual vet let us know that as Minky's brain was still as good as a cat half his age. He could rebuild him.

Thanks to Watkins and Tracker Minky is fully loving life since becoming Bionic. He can be a bit of a handful with the eye lasers though.

Good reception area with plenty of space to keep agitated pets feeling more secure. Pleasant staff and welcoming atmosphere. Short waiting time and no pressure to hurry at consultation. Fast and accurate diagnosis. Emergency operation done immediately and successfully. Everything explained in detail, all questions answered. On discharge everything explained again....no one was ever too busy to take their time to reassure us and make certain we knew what to expect and how to deal with it. Very happy with my visit there.

As I have found with all Vets, they are extremely helpful, friendly and really care about your animal. But when it comes to cost I can't understand why everything is SO expensive. In fact more expensive than going to a private dentist if I had problems with my teeth. Well £95 for a tube of something plus consultation and upto £500 for a deep clean. My dog has been with me 24/7 for nearly 11 yrs. Being disabled I had her neutered at the DPSA charity on the Bath Rd. This time I have jumped into my savings again, I had my own teeth done for 5 grand so I can't deny my dog. Anyway everyone knows Vets are expensive and this Vet has a better reputation than the other 'corporate' vets so I rate it accordingly. Nothing bad, nothing exceptionally good so average. I look forward to seeing my dog with nice clean teeth and no halitosis.( I have been brushing her teeth twice daily but I cannot reach the rear teeth.)

When your dog has had major surgery & they are shaking and distressed and you have to hold them upside down in the street in front of others paying for their treatments to have a dressing removed ! Me thinks this is probably the sort of treatment you would receive if you were living in a developing country. Then to notice that half the dressings haven't been removed. Sadly no compassion either offered to my wonderful dog. Overall, post operative check experience very DISAPPOINTING. Next check in a weeks time but I wont be rushing back especially as they couldn't be bothered to book another appointment
