Ash Barn Veterinary Surgery

We move to new veterinary Surgery very pleased we moved. No more parking problems.
My cat Suki has improved. My rabbit Chrissie eye has clear up.

There are plenty of favourable reviews for this practice. But we felt strongly that our dog was poorly treated and we have left the practice and would not use again.
My golden retriever was treated for a haematoma on his ear flap which resulted in needing surgery. The surgery did not work and on returning home after stitches were removed we realised he still had a haematoma. I telephoned the vets and they were beyond incredibly unhelpful. I went to another brilliant practice and with the right advice and no further intervention the haematoma disappeared.
This incident was several months ago. I am only writing this review as you might be interested in seeing the attached photo showing a bald patch on my dogs ear due to careless shaving of the ear by the vet before performing the operation on his ear.
Although many covid restrictions were lifted last August/September at that time this practice decided not to let owners inside with their pets, making it very difficult to get good information from them.
As we have to live with our poor dogs bald patch I thought it only right to let people know about our very unsatisfactory experience at this practice.

Wouldn’t take my dog Sidney anywhere else, Jane , Claire and Sam are fantastic and Julian and staff at southwater practice are also fantastic. Very professional and go above and beyond in the care they give .
