The Downwood Veterinary Centre

We've been taking our pet family to Downwood for many years and can't recommend them highly enough. The reception team are very friendly and Jo and the nursing staff are so caring and professional. We wouldn't go anywhere else with our furry friends!

Took our kitten here to be spayed. Staff were Kind, compassionate and professional. Also far cheaper than our previous practice. We will definitely be moving the rest of our cats here. Overall very impressed.

Iv been taking my animals to downwood for a number of years and have always found their staff to be polite and cheerful. My dog recently had some teeth removed and trotted out happily after lots of fuss from staff. Also exceptional skills putting a wild cat in a cat carrier :)

The worst vet I have ever experienced in my life, mis diagnosed my dog which nearly lead to it's death. If it wasn't for the out of hours vet in Eastbourne our pet would have suffered for much lunch longer. We have now had a thorough diagnosed from a specialist and our gorgeous pup is well and on medication to treat his condition. This vet was also rude to us when we sent a polite e-mail suggesting they look into this condition more thoroughly so it doesn't happen to another puppy. I am so disappointed in this vet it's untrue, we were recommended by someone and they also feel they have let our puppy and us down. I understand conditions are sometimes hard
for to diagnose but this was a blatent disregard for our pet and a failure yet they would not except responsibility at all. I felt so let down and shocked.

We have been taking our puppy Rogue in to Downwood and because of his breed I think I was worried about judgement- (unfortunately his breed has a bad rep - I say bad owners not bad dogs)- All the staff I have meet at Downwood have been Lovely towards our soppy/loving misunderstood boy and they been nothing but helpful and positive!

Such a good vet, they really care and have given my cat exemplary care. Always manage to get me a timely appointment and the cost is much lower than other practices. Highly recommended.
