Spire Vets

I've been taking my cats here for years. I went a few weeks ago for a sore on my cats back. They went through everything that could be causing it and now his back is fine. I'm just waiting for his fur to grow back.
The vets and receptionists are always attentive and kind, the service is always above what I expect. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my pets.
First picture was the original issue. He was upset and agitated and the second is him laid on his back very happy and comfortable

Good caring service over more than 40 years. Sad to say we have no pets now but would definitely return to Spire if we should get another furry friend. Thank you to Bruce and team.

The whole team there seem lovely and helpful, and the vet was very kind to my dog. Thanks for making his first visit a good one!

Appalling reception staff. I made initial contact to pay my vets bill, however, the phone line was bad, I was accused of deliberately avoiding payment (even though I had chased them to pay the bill & made several attempts provide the correct details). An agreement was made that I would wait to receive an invoice and pay via BACS.
The following day they called me to chase payment, more accusatory and sarcastic comments were made even though they admitted they had just posted the invoice the previous day so knew I was being honest when I stated I had not received it at that point. I had just had my horse PTS so you can imagine how upsetting that was, with this adding to my upset.
I received my invoice and paid straight away. An email was sent to make a complaint as looking at other Google reviews this has been requested, I wanted to give them an opportunity to hear my issue first hand before making it public, however I have received no response.

Family have used this vets for a long time, has very much gone downhill. Had to have my cat PTS because they were too slow to react and update me with what was going on, when they eventually gave me a treatment option I paid for the medicine and express delivery and they charged me for both when it wasn't used (it didn't even arrive in time and they still charged me)
Can also echo receptionist attitudes from previous comments.

Now at a different vet.

Very poor service. Even though I already paid for the consultation, Spire Vets refused to see my poor dying dog, just because I went to a different vet for a second opinion. I would not recommend this vets to anyone, they only care about the money, not the animals. They saw my dog for months and told us my dog had a very healthy mouth although we told them that we saw a lump in it, only for them to tell us three months later that he has throat cancer.

Fantastic service in the middle of the night and on a bank holiday. Followed up by a later call to give us a much needed update on our dog

Always take my dogs here.
Really friendly vets and vetinary nurses and all lovely with my dogs.
