4 weeks ago my dog became poorly and unfortunately crossed the rainbow bridge. The vets did everything they could for her, before calling us to say goodbye. The vet cried with me and held my hand. They did nothing until we were ready. Afterwards there was no rush for us to leave her. I was gived her paw prints, and a card from the staff. Then i was given forget me not seeds to plant. A few days later through the post came a card from the 2 vets who looked after Holly and knew her well. We chose to have her individually cremated, and a week later her ashes were ready to be collected. Really wonderful care at a very difficult time.

Unfortunately the service we have received not only from pride park but the vets in Burton hasn't been great.
Scarsdale in Burton have no vets, majority of them locums and they aren't interested in your pets. Don't interact with them won't you in and gone.

We have an issue with one of our two dogs. Got an appointment with pride park within 24 hrs so thanks but then when trying to use a direct claim they weren't great, well you need to give us 24 hours notice to do this. Thanks but could you explain when there wasn't enough time to do that. Luckily it went through.

Emma the neurologist was great but unfortunately the follow up care isn't great. 2 phone calls and 5 days later we still haven't had the call we have been waiting for.
We are now in the process of leaving Scarsdale and I know we aren't the only ones lately to do so.
It's such a shame as you were once an amazing practice.

Massive Veterinary pets and farm animals centre, 24/7 emergency, hospital, hotel, rehabilitation plus pet shop, surrounded by convenient car park.
Kind and helpful reception staff, very knowledgeable and efficient doctors and nurses, you don't have to worry about unescesary costs as they clearly inform what happened - and what have to be done for our precious animal.
Pristine clean, spacious and well organized modern space , they doing some magic as even our cat meowing in car relax inside and very calmly get checked by doctors/nurses.
We visited already on few occasions, neutering and once as a emergency injury, always kindly and with animal empathy, looking like all staff really love every animal coming and doing best to help most effective way - well done 👍🏻, thank you, will be back there 🤞🏻for routine visits only.

So we have a French Bulldog who is 3 years old, over the past few years he has had a few seizures. He was referred here from vets4pets who have been great and highly recommended Pride. We had an appointment with one of the surgeons Mark, who is amazing. He went through all scenarios, what to expect, the risks and the benefits. He was not rushed to have BOAS which a lot of surgeons will do, but instead recommended testing for a hernia as he was sick most days. It turned out he had a large hernia in his chest. WE booked the surgery in and spoke to Dawn who was also amazing and was very reassuring as we were notably worried, especially as Chunk is very anxious especially without us. Chunk had his surgery to correct the hernia and BOAS and he is like a new dog. It has been 5 weeks since the surgery and he has not been sick, he breathes a lot easier and it is amazing to see the change. WE wanted to thank each and everyone at Pride for their help, guidance and support, and most of all for making Chunk better. WE would highly recommend Pride.

Barney was referred to pride in Derby as he became really unwell. The whole team were amazing. So compassionate, the receptionists always remembered us and asked us how he was doing. Barney is a really anxious puppy and they bent the rules so that we could go and sit with him after visiting hours to reassure him. Visiting was very easy and they had a nice room for you to go in with them. The vets were very kind and honest. Kept us informed all the time and didn't seem to mind however many times I rang to check on him! The insurance team were fab and sorted out for us to get a direct claim within 24 hours of us taking him in which made the whole experience alot simpler. The only thing i would probably change is that anxious dogs are allowed a blanket/ toy from home while they are there. This was a no go for infection reasons at the time but maybe if they were washed before taking them in that would have been nice.

Just wanted to tell everyone about the compassionate care Seamus, the night vet, gave our Bentley on Christmas Day. Nothing could save him, but the care he received, was second to none. Although we were dreadfully upset at his passing, we went home at peace with the situation, confident that Seamus had done everything humanly possible to try and return him to us. We can never thank him enough!

Cannot speak highly enough of the team at Pride. First class practitioners with state of the art equipment providing caring and compassionate treatment. Superb communication at all points. Very grateful for all the care in treating the case of 'The Staffy and the Motorcycle Glove!'
