We have been using Dee Valley Vets for around 18 years. They are a family business and care about the work they do. All the animals are treated like a family member.
Thank you Dee Valley Vets for all your love and support over all these years.

Lynn or Linda (sorry not sure which) the receptionist is fantastic at her job. She remembers who we are, she is efficient and gives us confidence in knowing I put my beloved dogs care in the right hands.

Let's just say I live in the largest town in North Wales yet have used this vets some 16 miles away for 20 years plus. I think this says it all. Vets galore around us but in my view this one standout by miles. It's all about the animals not the money like many many vets. A traditional country vets with old fashioned values. All our animals over the years have never had any problems going.

Really good local vets practice, Vets are obviously experienced and interested in pet welfare, not just pushing drugs. They are really responsive and available when needed. Can't reccomend this place highly enough! Been using them for 4 years now and still rate them as highly as ever

A great vets, can always get an appointment and they've been very good with both of my dogs (even the one who really doesn't like the vets!)

Awful. They mis diagnosed my dog with athiritis after he collapsed. Another 2 collapses and 2 days later we took him back where it was discovered his spleen had in fact ruptured causing the collapses with a belly full of blood. He then under went emergency surgery to remove his spleen. We was told everything was fine then but we wanted his spleen sending away to make sure there was nothing nasty. They said there was no need and 20 minutes later we convinced them to indeed send it away. Good job we did as a few days later we got the devastating news he had cancer. He died of another bleed due to the cancer a couple of weeks later we lost our baby. He had just turned 11 that month so wasn't even old. We called to settle our bill but was told that pet plan had covered the outstanding and we had a zero balance. That was in May. In Feb I got a text from a debt recovery company saying we owed over £480, this opened up a just knitting together wound immediately. I called the vets to ask WTH, I was told yeah we did owe money after all and wrote to us but they had a phone call saying we had moved address from new tenants saying we had we moved in November, still 6 months after his passing. We didn't inform the vets we was moving because as far as they told us we owed them no money & now we had no pets thus we didn't need a vet for any reason. Instead of then picking up the phone and calling us for which they had at least 2 current number for us they instead went to a debt recovery company who added their fee of £85 on. They didn't even try to call us but they knew our numbers as they passed them on to debt recovery. I called the vets devestated, it had opened up alsorts of emotions which I am still struggling with. I since emailed Clive the owner of the vets saying we wanted a refund of the £85 the recovery company added on as if they had just picked up the phone we would have paid it, we didn't have a history of not paying so there was absolutely no reason to escalate it. If they don't refund the £85 I will have no problem going to court to retrieve this along with an extra sum for the distress this has caused, we took advice and was told there is no chance we would lose a case so up to now there is no response to my email but unlike them I will take reasonable steps to recover the money first. Maybe if they hadn't mistaken a bad back for a ruptered spleen I wouldn't be this emotional but given they mis diagnosed leading him to almost bleed to death then making no reasonable attempt to contact us I wouldn't do this but they opened up a very wide open wound which tears me apart every single day and this was just the final straw. Even Olga a staff member believed that out of common decency they should refund the money. If I do have to go to court for it back emotional stress will be added in there also as they opened a wound that didn't need to be opened after they had already caused us so much pain by causing our dog so much pain and discomfort. I'm not a vet but even I knew it wasn't a dodgy back and just wish I had taken him to the vets and not my partner as I wouldn't have accepted it was his back purely by the way he collapsed and given his gums and eyes were all white.. I would Never ever trust this vet with a goldfish never mind a dog and given the 2ay we have been treated it is appalling behaviour not to mention inhumane and just careless, not a single ounce of empathy, very poorly run with quite abrupt staff apart from Olga who did have some compassion and did agree it was wrong, but other than Olga there is nothing good to say about this vets. If you have an animal you love find an alternative vet as this one will turn your world upside down and then spit on you after that.
