It was with a heavy heart and after witnesses two seizures that morning, we made the decision to take our almost 21yr old cat to say goodbye as felt we couldn't wait until Monday as he'd not recovered well from the morning.
Eileen was his normal vet and I was so relieved when she walked in to see us, it made me feel better knowing she already knew Widget.
Lauryn was the nurse that assisted us and both her and Eileen were so compassionate towards myself, my husband and most of all our boy. He was treated with the upmost respect before, during and even after he had past.
I really can't thank them enough for how they were in what must be the worst part of their job.
I spoke with the girls on reception to make an appointment and also after we'd left to make changes for his cremation and both times, they were compassionate and lovely given the sad situation.
I'm devastated that our boy is gone but thank you for helping him and for being so lovely throughout.
The experience with our cats emergency spay was trauma after trauma with added cost which they couldn’t and wouldn’t explain. The attitude from the finance woman was beyond anything I’ve experienced just because I was asking for a breakdown of costs.
I never wanted to return but sadly my chihuahua suddenly became critically ill and we had no other choice.
They were hateful the minute I walked in just because I’d dared question money before with my cat.
They constantly referred to money for my dogs treatment and repeatedly told me that if I couldn’t afford then needs to be put to sleep. They had no idea of our financial status.
They told us before all results she was anaemic and then changed to uterus infection needed emergency spay or PTS.
I decided to get second opinion immediately and my dog had bloodclot and collapsed lung which they treated. She was critical and could have died with the abbey vets negligence. Been very traumatic and devastating.
