A wonderful art gallery in a beautiful setting. The house itself contains the collections, and is surrounded by Capability Brown parkland.
The Chinese gallery especially was very interesting as it displays many early metal pots, many huge, not the more familiar Chinese porcelain.
The gift shop sells a great selection of design books, some of which I added to my library.
Children are well catered for, making this an excellent venue for all ages.

Beautiful location, cheap if you go more than once a year (grab an annual pass) and there's usually lots going on throughout the year. There's also a small outdoor playground for the kids.

A lovely place to spend a few hours, very peaceful and beautiful grounds plus the chapel was a highlight. Good picnic and toilet facilities. One point to note, although the venue has a very strict dogs on lead policy there are public footpaths running through the land and people using these paths clearly do not respect these rules, during our walk across Long Meadow we had two separate incidences of dogs running upto our dogs who were on lead in line with the rules

Lovely place to visit and have a walk. If you would like, there is also great place to have a small picnic and enjoy the nice weather.

First visit here to view the Portrait artist of the year exhibition.
Parking facility was good. plenty of spaces for disabled parking. Other, parking was plenty, well marked, no wet or puddled areas to avoid. Entrance / ticketing was immediately adjacent. The Hall was a relatively short distance from the entrance on well made paths, passing the ' ice house' to the Hall ( worth a quick look see)
Whole gallery experience was impressive. The café struggled to give the service they would want due to a large (40+) coach party having arrived. Staff managed to stay polite despite obvious pressure and we were compensated for our 35/40 minute wait for two cups of coffee. There was an outside take away facility with a covered seating area available but due to the low temperature at the time of our visit, we had chosen inside.
The exhibition however lived up to expectations and was well curated. We enjoyed the offering of an informative guide that was provided, free of charge, at 2.30pm.
Plenty of grounds for children to shed some energy including a good play area for children relatively close to the Hall. Nice walks available to suit varying capabilities including wheelchair friendly. Will keep our eye out for future exhibitions.

Amazing place spacious walking peaceful and relaxing. Art collection really nice and well laid out. The staff are very friendly, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and more than willing to explain things to you from entry to the exhibits. Cafe was pleasant the coffee and cake we had enjoyable. Reasonably priced yearly pass for two. . Will return again as there always seems a lot going on throughout the year for everyone.
