Me and my partner visited here last night, we never stayed!! We left as we were shocked what we paid for and what we got. The tea spoons had tea stained all over them, the sofa was ripped, NO AC was told for such a large room a small fan in the draw. The room had a seal outside saying it had been clean, but I’m sorry for a hotel standard it was awful staines all over the shower and bathroom, phoned reception sorry spa full even though when we checked in the lady said there’s availability just put your stuff away and call 0 amazing five mins later the young man told us it’s all booked from the morning! What an awful hotel I’m sorry but I rather stay at ibis budget hotel the customer service and the cleanliness is a lot better! And they have AC this hotel has a “small” fan in the cupboard

Saved by a great reception team.
Booked on line though a well known firm.
Booking had gone astray!
With help of the great team we soon had a bed for the night.
Spa steamroom I am informed has not worked for neigh on 12 months or longer yet is still advertised, The remaining spa is wonderfully relaxing and not overbooked. Time slots regulated to maintain suitable numbers. Does mean that you have to book on the day and spaces fill quickly.
Bar and restaurant staff need help.

The hotel is very convenient for the university, the staff are very helpful and friendly. while the room was clean & modern it was very all and extremely stuffy to the point it was stifling which made sleeping very difficult. Parking outside the hotel is very hit & miss for spaces but there is a purpose carpark near the security barrier.
The hotel is in an economy range so ok for the cost

good, but can improve. Parking could be better signposted or explained by reception. It is located inside the university and access is restricted. The room is good and the bathroom is ok.

Not a bad place to stay. The signs to the place could be better but the receptionist was helpful when we called to ask where to go. Beds were comfortable but small.
The spa was OK, the only thing that was annoying was a student on his phone in the spa.
Breakfast was OK. What was not OK was a staff member asking for the bill to be paid before my husband had finished his breakfast.
Won't be staying here again.

I almost don't want to post this review, I want to keep it a secret as possible so it doesn't become fully booked :)
For a hotel with a gym, sauna and steam room it is absolutely fantastic value.

A 20 minute walk or 6 minute drive to the town centre with plenty of restaurants and bars, some of which I have also reviewed here.

I spent 2 lovely weekends here, enjoying the spa facilities and will certainly be returning again.

Ok for the price, clean, tidy, semi-comfortable but small rooms & you are basically staying on a university campus. Reception staff were polite but seem to struggle to grasp anything a bit challenging which ended up with us not having access to our room at 1am, so had. To wait for security to let us in when we were cold & tired.

It was difficult to find due to road closures. The room was comfortable and clean, but we could not turn the heating down or open a window so it was like a sauna. Food was ok.
