The Jolly Vintner

I've been buying wine and other drinks from Rory for many years now, and what I like most about him is his seemingly unlimited passion for what he does. I wouldn't call myself a wine buff by any means, but I know my chianti from my claret, so have some idea what I'm after. Rory knows a lot more than me though, and I generally just tell him what sort of mood I'm in and he suggests different wines based on what's good at the moment. Perfect. I get interesting wines that you don't see on the shelves of the supermarket at a good price, and get to have a natter at the same time.

This lady, Gemma, is absolutely fantastic and has helped me, in these times of crisis and myself being disabled, beyond belief. Not only is her wine superb but her, I was going to say bedside manor, but customer service would be more appropriate. Beyond the pale thank you! If you are not sure what you want, ask her, she is brilliant and knows subject. Tell her what you are cooking, or having cooked for you, she will match you up perfectly!

Lovely range of wines. Gemma is fabulous and really knows her stuff. Highly recommended for Christmas gifts! Shop local!

As Sir Ian Botham once said, "form is temporary but class is permanent." If wine is important to you, then you need to visit Gemma @ The Jolly Vintner. Her wines are delicious and you will struggle to find most anywhere else. Well done Gemma. :-)

Very good selection of real ales and wines. Gemma is very approachable and knows her onions- her recommendations are worth it! Highly recommended.

This is such a great shop. Fantastic service, so knowledgeable and a wonderful selection of wine. I cannot recommend the Jolly Vintner highly enough! A real gem in Tiverton.
